What I liked: The UV brightness is strong enough to make scorpions fluoresce clearly at close to medium range. The beam is steady with no flicker, which makes scanning the ground much easier. Lightweight and simple to carry during night checks. Works immediately without any setup — just insert the batteries and go. Things to know: Best performance is within a few feet; it’s not designed for long-distance scanning. Fresh batteries make a noticeable difference in brightness, so it’s worth keeping spares on hand. Bottom line: A dependable UV flashlight that performs well for scorpion detection. If you need something compact and effective for nighttime searches, this is a solid choice.

This light is FANTASTIC !. As soon as we received it my wife and I began to check our homes various areas especially the bathrooms. What we found was shocking. My wife is a compulsive house cleaner, and it was unbelievable what showed up under the light, WOW ! We are afraid to take it with us on vacation now but will. We will also be traveling with our own bed linens and slippers to wear in hotel rooms. The quality of this light is remarkable for the price. The construction is truly industrial and works 200% better than expected. I am usually stingy with reviews but had to bring this to everyone's attention. Highly recommended, but beware, it could change your life.

I picked up this black light for practical purposes, and it’s been pretty reliable. It’s lightweight but sturdy, and the UV light is strong enough to easily spot pet stains. This UV flashlight works incredibly well for spotting pet urine stains that you can’t see with normal lighting. The 51 LEDs are bright and cover a wide area, so I don’t have to constantly move it back and forth. As soon as I turned it on, I found a couple of older dried spots from my dog that I never would have noticed otherwise. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, and the beam is strong enough to work even in rooms that aren’t completely dark. I also used it on carpets, tile, and baseboards, and it picked up everything clearly. It’s honestly a little shocking what shows up, but it’s exactly what I needed to clean properly. The flashlight feels well-made, and the battery life has been good so far. It’s a great tool if you’re potty training pets, checking for old stains, or even just wanting to deep clean areas that might have lingering odors. Highly recommend for any pet owner.

I use this UV flashlight to detect urine stains made by a kitty who sprays when he is distressed (loud noises like thunder and fireworks scare him). The flashlight works very well. Bought one as a gift for a friend. If you want one, try to hold out for a sale. Worth the price regardless. I highly recommend this UV flashlight.

Unless my house is exceptionally clean (highly doubtful), my copy of this light has difficulty finding spots beyond 1/2 meter/18 inches (elbow to hand length). Tried different batteries, Lithium, Alkaline, Li-Ion rechargeables, nothing seems to improve its dimness. Going to get their stronger one instead.

I bought this because I have a senior dog that I thought might be possibly having leak issues while sleeping. I have waterproof reusable bed pads that are soft and well made that I use to cover her bed or where she sleeps just in case but I think I tend to over wash these pads because maybe she is or maybe she isn't leaking so I thought this would help me discover if for sure it needed wash without having to feel it or smell test throughout the pads. It does help you see stuff but not necessarily ONLY urine. It picks up where she might have licked the pad where a treat was dropped. It shows more in the area she lays and licks her front feet or toys than urine drops. It does not light up like a neon sign for urine and you have to look patiently. Despite not being quick, and easy to hunt urine stains, the light is well made. It is bright enough to show things if you look hard enough and know what to look for, or you are wanting to confirm if you have cleaned up an area enough. It is a durable light and while it has some weight to it to be easy to hold it isn't too heavy to use for a long period as I understand this is amazing to hunt scorpions. I do use it, but it just isn't the help that photos showed it would be for me. Hope that helps.
