Showing the picture together with the actual object lets children make the connection that books can show you about the real world. First Discovery (published in English by Moonlight Publishing and Scholastic) books are wonderful for small children. Detailed, realistic illustrations, spiral-binding lays flat, and (especially nice!) the coated pages are easy to wipe clean and difficult to tear. Review: I was hoping it was as good as the fruit one in the series, but was disappointed. It seems a bit rushed, there are a couple mistakes and even one page is printed upside down. The layout seems awkward as well. There is so much more they could have done with this and so much they could have just left out.
