NPET Pet Water Fountain Water Pump with LED Light for WF020/WF050/WF210 Cat Fountain

The pet water fountain I bought on Amazon is no longer available and the pump recently stopped working, so I couldn’t find the exact replacement pump. But I figured another available pump could work if it was designed similarly. This pump worked perfectly: it lined up well with the fountain spout, the water flow was strong enough, and also has a water level sensor/light like the previous one. The last pump lasted two years, so hopefully this one works at least as long.

I’ve bought a handful of these now. My cat has one of the popular water fountains that’s clear plastic. I like the lighted pumps for two reasons: it’s a backup in case I’m not paying enough attention to the water level and it can remind me to refill it, and it acts as a night light for her food area. The pump comes apart very easily for cleaning and it is very convenient to clean inside the pump with small bottle brushes to get any film or gunk out. It snaps back together easily. It runs very quietly. The only time I hear it is when I have the fountain in my sink for cleaning and plug the pump in to help flush it out with soapy water and it’s a very soft hum. You don’t hear it at all during normal operation, in fact the water trickle is more noticeable than any pump noise. I do have a few complaints. The water level does have to get pretty low in order for the red light to come on at all; the pump is basically functioning intermittently by that point. So you still need to check the water level regularly. The other issue is that every one I’ve bought has eventually failed. One of them just wouldn’t even turn on anymore (light or pump) regardless of what USB block or outlet it was plugged into. The most recent one that failed had a functional light and was still pumping water but at a very low rate and I worried it would completely fail while I was at work and my cat wouldn’t have water. However I still bought the same kind to replace it because I think this is a good pump. I recommend it to anyone looking for a lighted pump.

I like the blue light on this pump motor. I was afraid my cat wouldn't come near it because it is pretty bright and I thought it might intimidate her, but she doesn't seem to mind it. It's really nice to see the strong water flow again. I didn't think about how weak the old one was, and then it died and I had to get a new one. This one is such a big improvement!

5/19/25 UPDATE - I don't like this pump. Needs to be cleaned every week. Flow was very strong to start but now is quite week. Of course I am 3-days past my return window - which means in just over a month, this pump is junk. I need to check original description to see about warranty. ORIGINAL REVIEW - Seems to work ok. This is not the specific pump for my Catix model of water fountain, but came much more quickly. It does not come with a plastic flex tube - glad I saved my old one. It is a tighter fit into that flex tube that motor that came with product. It was not working well, so I tried to clean it within the first week - and noticed the motor had slid down on the tube. I'm not sure if that decreased suction or what happened. But since I snugged it back into place, it seems to work ok. Less than 1 month of use as I am writing the review.

So far, so good! Wouldn’t want to use any other pump going further. The auto shut off should be standard! My original pump burnt out within a month because it didn’t have this feature. And it didn’t drop super low to the point of dry run, so im very pleased with this design. Plus, it emits a light to let you know, runs quiet, is usb ran, and is super powerful. 🙏🏼 thanks

This a a great pump!! Awesome water pressure. The pump that came with our cat fountain quit after a month and didn't have e this kind of power. Great buy!!! And light is bright!

Shuts itself off when water level drops too low. Love it
