Delicious Boysenberry Syrup...better than Knotts!! Perfect, not overly sweet, or thick.

This syrup is made from 100% boysenberry juice without artificial ingredients. This is the best tasting boysenberry syrup I have found. Also the packaging is amazing. You could run over the box with a truck and likely not damage the bottle. Also a nice thank you note in each box!

I was born in 1970 and I come from a family of five of us. Growing up, when it was one of our birthdays, we’d pick what the family would eat for dinner. Every once in a while, mom & dad would surprise the birthday girl and let her pick out a RESTAURANT to eat for her birthday dinner. When August 14 would finally roll around bringing my birthday AND my choice of restaurants, everyone knew what we’d be eating IHOP! Yes! IHOP! My favorite acronym cause it stands for the “International House of Pancakes”! Yes, IHOP! Because I was and AM addicted to buttermilk pancakes with lots of butter and boysenberry syrup, gently poured on each and every Individual bite, (cause you can’t pour the syrup just all over the top of the stack! I don’t care if it’s maple syrup, strawberry syrup, or boysenberry syrup, there’s nothing as gross as a mushy syrup drenched pancakes blob! gross!!) When I was coming up, my housewifeMom cooked dinner basically every day of the year, 365 days of the year. So other than those occasional birthday dinners when we were lucky enough to dine out, we’d eat whatever mom put in front of us for dinner. And we were expected to eat it all. So dining out was always very special for that reason. Plus, I’ve always enjoyed, and occasionally continue to enjoy, having breakfast for dinner. Maybe cause it feels kind of naughty? Or maybe cause it reminds me of “Opposite Days” that we used to have at school as a way of raising “school spirit”? Remember Those week long daily activity things? New theme every day? Anyway, you’re probably wondering what all this babbling I’m doing has to do with THIS boysenberry syrup? But surely you now know why don’t you? It's cause it stirs up so many happy memories, and so many little funny and sweet things come to mind when I eat boysenberry syrup. Things that still warm my heart to think of them. And brings back my sweet family of five (of which only two of us still are alive), and of course that feels good! So while I’m sad, and disappointed that IHOP no longer carries their delicious boysenberry syrup, that same one I lovingly drenched over each bite of my buttermilk pancakes for over 50 years, I’m thankful that the people over at Pioneer Valley continue to make a delicious boysenberry syrup that I can enjoy anytime at home!

Pricy for the small size but took me back to my youth! Tastes great! Just like I remembered!

Well, it's not like Smuckers Boysenberry Syrup by a long shot, which is disappointing since that's what I was searching for a replacement for since they discontinued it. The Pioneer Valley syrup lacks high fructose corn syrup; maybe that's what made Smuckers so good. This version tastes more watered down and less sweet. My husband used the words "more natural" to describe the difference. I didn't hate it but it's not what I hoped for since Smuckers set my expectations years ago. I most likely won't reorder.

I ordered for a Pancake and Pajamas Christmas party. Everyone had to bring toppings- THIS was the only topping that was GONE by the end of the evening. It is SO good. Buy it… but save some for me!!!

This syrup is wonderful tasting! I highly recommend and was worth waiting for.
