Genuinely surprised how good these are!
Genuinely surprised how good this is. I am in my 50s and been dying my hair 30 years with a number 7 home box dye - always permanent dye up until this year swapping to semi permanent just on my roots because I am deciding if to embrace my grey (about 50% grey) I want to let the grey grow out a bit to see, but not have the halo effect as it grows down. Thought a 4-8 wash dye would be a good choice to blend my roots as even the semi permanent box dye was still giving me the grey halo as it grew. I had about 1-2 inches of natural/grey roots before dying it today. This dye covered the grey really well without being too much block colour. The packet is a good size & on my chin length bob not even using the whole sachet. It reminds me of the ‘Toners’ sachets in the 80s (yes I’m that old!) but these are bigger sachets. It’s blended nicely & very tonal, looking like natural highlights when in natural sunlight. I used the dark blonde but as you can see from the photos it’s much darker than blonde! It’s also looks quite warm & coppery under indoor lights. No bad smell to the dye either. Really pleased. Both photos taken straight after dying & drying my hair, one inside & one outside.

Best colour shampoo I find with great grey coverage
Brilliant shampoo, good coverage of greys . I've actually used a colour shampoo since my teens but I find this brand excellent and is virtually my natural colour. Lasts ages smells lovely nice glossy finish. And a great variety of colours. (A bit of a difference from the 3 shades you got back in the day) Definitely recommend rather than using harsh chemicals. I also find even permanent hair dyes without ammonia cause my asthma. This is a very safe and excellent alternative. I have waist long hair and use 2 sachets and I do a root top up maybe every 4 weeks. Highly recommend

Great but not temporary
Photo 1 - hair prior to dye Photo 2 - comparison of roots before and straight after dye Photo 3 & 4 - straight after dye was used Photo 5 & 6 - hair & roots after the 9th wash. I've been growing my grey out for a few years but wanted something temporary for a birthday party. I've made the mistake of colouring my hair a few times over the years and regretted having to grow out the colour all over again each time, so the reviews that stated the product barely lasted long at all were what swayed me to give this a try. Using it was fairly easy, I was surprised at how runny the dye was and I just used it like a shampoo. I used one sachet and left it on for 20mins (the reviews stated the longer they left it on the longer it stayed on so I went for the minimum time per instructions). The coverage was pretty great, I could still see some grey areas but I believe that was due to my application and should have probably used 2 packets with the length of hair. The colour was great and what I expected from 'Chocolate Brown' The reason for my 1 star is because I am now 10 washes in and the dye is still clearly on my hair. I wanted something extremely temporary and I'm now very concerned I'm stuck re-growing my grey hair out for the next few years again! As in the photos, I have quite prominent grey roots which is making me quite unhappy and I would say the colour on top has started to go kind of purple. It has definitely faded some and I can see some of the grey coming through in places but I would have expected it to be mostly gone by now. I'll probably give it to wash 20 before trying one of the colour remover boxes.

Handy top up hair dye
I get my hair coloured at the salon but as the weeks go on the grey/white starts to show around my temple. Rather than putting on a whole root touch up box for about a week I decided to try these. The colour goes well with my own dark brown short pixie cut, its easy to use but sooo messy. You have to shampoo your hair, then add in and mix until foams up (which mine didn't) and then leave for either 20 mins or 45 mins. Now sitting around with this stuff literally running down your face/neck isn't pleasant so I put a plastic shower cap over they dye and then wrap a towel around as well - then find something good to watch on tv and just sit. Smells nice when rinsed off and does last the 8 washes (if you leave for 45 mins). Would recommend but be prepared as messier than permanent/semi-perm dyes which I have used and can move around without the dripping.

Amazing product
This demi permanent hair colour amazing. I've been using permanent hair dye far too long and my hair needs a good rest so I gave this a go. The first one I used I only left on for 20 mins. It took lovely but washed out quick. the second one I left on for 45 mins and it lasted a lot longer. Around 3-4 weeks longer. It did leave my hair extremely hard to comb afterwards. The third time I used it,I mixed the sachet with a generous blob of conditioner and again, left it on my hair for 45mins. The result was amazing. My hair got a deep condition at the same time as it got a lovely colour. I'm so happy with this product. I will always use it. Great value for money too as you get 6 in the box

Mixed Feelings: Victoria Beauty Keratin Therapy Hair Colour Shampoo
I recently tried the Victoria Beauty Keratin Therapy Hair Colour Shampoo, hoping for a temporary hair dye solution to refresh my dark blond hair. While the product didn't deliver the expected outcome, I still found some aspects to appreciate and enjoyed it. Firstly, the temporary hair dye effect fell short of my expectations. Instead of achieving the desired result, my dark blond hair turned out differently, which was disappointing. However, I must admit that the resulting colour still looked quite exciting and unique, although not as intended. The unexpected outcome added a touch of variety to my hair and sparked some curiosity and compliments from others. In terms of longevity, the claim that the dye lasts 4 to 8 washes was not entirely accurate in my case. The colour seemed to hold on longer than anticipated, taking more washes to fade away completely. This could be positive or negative, depending on personal preferences. While the prolonged colour may be appealing for some, others might find it inconvenient if they're seeking a more temporary change. One positive aspect of the Victoria Beauty Hair Colour Shampoo is its formulation with keratin therapy. After using it, I noticed that my hair felt softer, smoother, and more manageable. The shampoo seemed to provide nourishment and hydration, leaving my hair in a better condition. Additionally, the product had a pleasant scent that lingered in my hair. The application process was straightforward, similar to using regular shampoo. The shampoo lathered well and rinsed out quickly without leaving any residue. This made the experience hassle-free and convenient, particularly for those who prefer a quick and effortless hair dye solution. While the Victoria Beauty Keratin Therapy Hair Colour Shampoo didn't meet my initial expectations, I still liked its unique colour. The extended staying power and the positive effects on my hair's condition were also noteworthy. However, it's important to note that the colour outcome may vary for different individuals and hair types. In conclusion, my experience with the Victoria Beauty Keratin Therapy Hair Colour Shampoo was a mixed bag. While the temporary dye didn't turn out as expected, I still appreciated the interesting colour result and the positive effects on my hair. If you're open to unexpected colour outcomes and value the keratin therapy benefits, this shampoo may be worth a try.

This works like magic!
This shampoo is a godsend! I stumbled upon it as I was looking for something to temporarily cover up my grey/silver roots. I didn't want to use a permanent dye as I'm going lighter when I next see my hairdresser, but I have to wait until the end of the month to see her as she's fully booked. My hair is dark but is naturally silver now, so my roots were just too bad. I didn't think this shampoo would do much to be honest, but I washed my hair as normal without conditioning it, applied this product and left it for 45 mins. It comes out of the sachet as quite a thin liquid and I thought it would be dripping down my face and back while I was waiting for it to work. Surprisingly it didn't! In fact, even though you put it on like a shampoo ie without taking care not to get it on your ears etc., I found that it didn't stain my skin at all. Much better than a permanent dye. I washed it off with my usual shampoo (even though this is a shampoo), conditioned it and dried it as normal. I could not believe the difference. There are places where it has taken better than others, but my parting, around my crown and face all took really well and those were my areas of concern. It doesn't cover the grey completely but it blends it in such a way as you just can't see the roots at all and if it has managed to cover my silver roots to blend in with my very dark brown hair, it'll blend any grey. Fantastic product. Definitely a game changer in between visits to the hairdresser!

Didn't cover grey roots with blonde
I love this stuff, it's actually a purple toner rather than a blonde die (so if you're hoping to cover roots with a blonde die it won't work for you) it does, however, remove brassy tones from hair that is already blonde and is really simple to use.
