Microsoft Visual Basic 2015 for Windows, Web, Windows Store, and Database Applications: Comprehensive

So far, the book is very clear and concise. It is straight to the point and explains everything thoroughly. There are many, many Guided Programs, Case Programs, and Debugging Exercises which is good for those who want to practice and master the craft, like myself. Honestly, after just one chapter, I felt like a programming genius and I truly felt like I understood Visual Basic's interface. The website offers a lot of resources, though, my only concern is that I only have access to these resources through my college registry even though I purchased this book through Kindle. Haven't yet figured out how to actually register the product as I can't find any registration key.Kindle says the project is already registered, but my account on Cengagebrain doesn't show me owning the book, even though it's under the same email. I guess I'll cross that bridge when necessary.Otherwise, fantastic book for a fair price.

Book came exactly as described and is exactly what I needed for my class. This book has a wealth of information for anyone looking to use Microsoft Visual Basic 2015 for beginner coding.

This Book is marvellous. An must have for beginners in VB development, as well as experienced professionals.It covers most current chapter curriculum, as explains in details the steps in designing and writing a VB application.Highly recommended.

Great with fast delivery and good price to rent, but the quality of the book that I had received after being told good condition was a bit odd. The first cover page was almost completely ripped and various other rips on the cover make it hard to treat it like it’s a regular book. Instead It must be treated like it was Jesus Christ’s personal textbook on Visual Basic. This could be my one book in particular, which is just inconvenient, but I would recommend renting this book as it’s worth the $14 as opposed to buying it at $100+

This book is wacked. It is horrible. The publisher has decided that people cannot focus so it places, color and sticky notes, instead of straight text, black on white paper. It is circuitous. I imagine it was designed to prevent plagiarism or reprinting. But its composition is defective. The print in the colored images is unreadable. I wear reasonable, not strong, glasses, and basically now, I cannot read without them.But I had to use a magnifying glass, which wasn't strong enough (a mechanics magnifying glass) to read the text. Further, it fails to mention that the entire piece of software has been taken over by GIT.In order to use the software to perform the tasks in the book, you have to 1) connect with Micro s o f t, on line not off line, 2) and join GIT.None of this was made apparent. This book's Title is deceiving. It is not a textbook on VBA or visual basic, but rather it is a book about Visual Studio which is a monster of a piece of software. Somehow, some software engineer(s) managed to alter the original software and place more than five huge sets of individual code; SQL. .NET, Java, Azure, C+, F#. Many developers have installations of these exact software programing languages.The software is funky but the text book fails to mention that despite the fact that Visual Studio is an object oriented software, it has to be programmed like M S Access. If you have had experience with that software you know well that every single action, whether retained or not, is hard programmed into the files created from it.Personally, I use other object oriented programs. And I know them well, and I don't have to design programs in any particular order.

I took this class as an elective and I would highly recommend this book. It gives you everything you need to get started with making VB applications.
