I bought this to freplace an old wired Swann security system. Fortunately, I was able to use all the old cables and fitting the cameras was easy. There is a definite improvrment in picture quality both at night and during the day. There is no ptz connection but my ptz camera still works with the new system although I cannot steer the camera.

Quite a lot of work to set up and pull cables up into attic to attach the cameras to. So worth the work as the motion detection is fantastic and the pictures are clear. Works great with the app on your phone and you get the notifications. I would recommend this for your home or office.

After research bought this system as it was a established brand. Camera set up was easy. Running the wires to the hard drive was a bit of a mission and had to buy small cable clips that held the wires. Used a wireless adapter to connect the hard drive base unit to the home router. This was very complicated and needed lots of research and ultimately a YouTube video about the adapter to get it working. I connected a pc monitor to the hard drive to view the recording or live view. Smooth and clear. I bought camera mount/ wall brackets to put the cameras onto. The picture quality is very good. Clear and detailed. The cameras field of view is a bit narrow. Would have preferred it wider. Night vision is black and white normally. It becomes colour if you switch the camera light on. The biggest disappointment is the sound recording or rather the lack of. I had to contact swann customer support to know how to switch sound recording on. Once done I got.... Nothing.. just a wierd clicking sound. Utterly useless at recording sound. The app view is just ok, slow and glitchy. Much slower than when viewing it straight off monitor connected to the base unit. The app doesn't let you do much adjustments at all. You need to always make adjustments via the base unit menus. The menus are quite complicated and the instructions aren't much help. It took a while to work everything out and I still believe I could set it better if I knew how. Overall it is a good system if all you want is picture recording. If you want sound recording too then look elsewhere. It's been running for over 6 months and has been very reliable.

These are very good, took a bit of setting up getting the cables round the house but now up and running they are a good deterrent and also have a motion sensor light that can be time set to start at a certain time. It has paid for it’s self already.

Didn’t find it hard to set up . Dsy csmrra is excellent . I have them in my shop . There’s no lights left on at the shop and the cameras are fine at night , often go on my app in the phone and look , even though it notifies you of each motion . The red and blue lights work .. it’s all good , surprised at the negative comments

Having read some quite negative comments about the capability of this system I nearly didn't buy it, especially the comments about the night vision. However I've found the infra-red night vision to be excellent with zero ambient light provided YOU USE THE CORRECT SETTINGS! Having installed the system (relatively simple just as long as you can get the cables out the house) I followed the idiot proof instructions and had it up and running inside a few hours. There is a fair bit of fine tuning to do once everything is in place to suit your own requirements, and I think it's here that some people are finding problems. The full colour night setting does require the led lamp to be permanently on at night, and to be honest I don't think it's worth it. With this setting turned off the infrared night vision becomes active when ambient light drops and this gives a much clearer picture. I have included three photos with this review. 1) IR night vision in complete darkness. 2) Colour vision with led in complete darkness. 3) Vision without either, to show how dark it is. All in all I'm very happy with the product and the DVR functionality, the phone app has it's faults and limitations but that's a different matter.

Just to update we couldn't add the 4th camera until Wednesday 13th sept and it wont work , tried everything going , swann ignoring messages So reached out to amazon who think that I'm just going to climb in the attick take all the wires out and camera down and send it back For a replacement to then go through the process of popping it back again , what a absolute joke , for this reason check your camera especially If your trying to add any of the rest on later. Big thumbs down not happy Had a swann camera set for over 8 years and it stopped working , we decided to replace the system completely so choose this one , ive not completely made up my mind yet wether it's worth it as we've had a couple of issues , one being the infrared at night, warning to others do not have the camera bouncing off gutters or windows as you will end up with a black picture, we needed to move ours previous had shields to stop this but these don't meaning any gutter or to much window white will make the picture black . Second of all the mention detectors keep switching on even when I switched them off it's annoying picks up everything so need to solve that one, however picture is better than last camera set and when you have positioned the cameras properly the night vision is good , I just stick to black and white at night , spotlights would just attract insects and stuff .we shall see how long this system last for . No other issues quick amd easy to set up .

Everybody should know once you buy this DVR it’s old version software so you need a flash drive. Big headache, waste off time after I accomplished flash drive download headache it’s not Support my computer with another DVR Swan unbelievable cannot work together

Bonjour, J'ai essayer de configurer la caméra et j'ai réussis à le connecter à mon android, mais impossible de lire le flux vidéo sur Iphone (Iphone 13), lorsque j'essaie de lire la vidéo une erreur s'affiche "Impossible de lire le contenu". J'ai essayer de chercher l'erreur sur internet apparement l'erreur vient du fait qu'il manque un module qui s'appelle "ffmpeg"
