It was a bit tricky to get the hang of it because there are no instructions included. Once I figured it out it was easy to use. I will say it has different holes for different size handle spacing. I was rolling right along until I almost drilled the wrong hole, almost. Find your holes first and cover the rest with a piece of painter's tape so you don't drill the wrong hole. Just leave the 2 that you need open and the rest coved. I did clamp it in place and drilled them while it was still mounted instead of marking the hole and removing the jig and then drilling. The provided drill bit is of very good quality as well still going strong and has a point so it doesn't slip. One last thing, as this is metal and not plastic it may scratch a bit so you may want to add some painter's tape to the backside as well.

Simple and accurate tool. The markings are easy to read and is useful for both 5" and 10" handles. I added some tape to cover the non-used holes to reduce the chance of drilling the incorrect hole. I put in 40 handles and no errors. Amazing! The addition of a spring clamp kept is aligned during drilling holes.

This product hits a good middle groud btw the smaller, plastic cabinet handle templates and the large adjustable ones for pros. It worked well enough, but a few small tweaks would really improve the usage. To start, the edges on mine were razor sharp. Sharp enough that basic handling or sliding your finger across the surface was able to give small "paper cut" scratches. I wrapped painters tape around the whole thing once I had my dimensions set. Secondly, if the preset depth holes are not to your liking, there is a slot you can set the stopper edge into to get the exact distance you are looking for. That's the good part. The problem is that it is only marked on the top side, but the screw-down nuts are large enough that they block view of its precise alignment. Adding the same markings on the underside of the template would solve this issue completely. And finally, the supplied drill bit, while a nice inclusion, was the dullest new bit I've ever encountered. It had the sharp center-point tip, supossedly to keep it from "walking" as you start drilling, but it was not sharp at all and was actually rounded over, so that the bit did the exact opposite and wanted to slip around before the hole got started. On top of that, the bit itself was so dull, I had to press VERY hard to make each hole. It's like using a dull kitchen knife. More chance for problems and mistakes when you've got to press so hard. I grabbed another used bit from my garage and it went right through with ease, just like you'd expect. Even after the compliants, I'd buy it again, knowing that the price was fair and using it is far better and faster than manually measuring each cabinet handle location. Just have your own fresh drill bit handy in case the supplied ones are all super dull.

I bought this when replacing all the handles on my kitchen drawers and cabinets and found it especially useful as I was replacing the original single screw knobs with handles needing two screws. It can be slightly tedious to set up and I found it useful to note down the settings needed for upper and lower cabinets and drawers. However, once set up it gives you a highly reproducible result without a lot of measuring, marking and checking but do make sure you have the guide plates properly seated against the work. It should be possible to drill through the gauge itself but I preferred to mark the wood using a centre punch. It's the sort of thing one might use very occasionally and so the ability to to take it apart and put it in its bag is a definite advantage.

Purchased this tool to install cabinet pulls but I soon discovered the tool itself is uneven. There is an adjustable attachment to guide you on the distance from the cabinets edge however, the ruler itself where the screw holes are located is uneven causing the handles to be crooked. Returning for a refund, hope to find something better.

Anyone who is putting on cabinet knobs, but this! It was such a breeze. I swear it saved me at least an hour or more on a medium sized kitchen.

This worked so well for our cabinet knobs and drawer pulls. The pulls got tricky with the different size drawers but we were able to adjust this device and make it work. We followed others reviews and used tape on front and back to prevent scratching and cutting.

Managed to get the job done with some effort. Accurate adjust is difficult because the stop plate is on the back and dimensions are printed on the front. The knobs are not easy to align accurately by eye. Locating at correct height is not easy and needs to be clamped in place to avoid it shifting. I Accidentally drilled the wrong hole on one of my doors. I'll admit it was my mistake but it was an easy one to make especially if trying to work quickly.

I was hoping to use the product but it has a defect. Holes are to tight for the screws it came with. I’m going to have to return it unfortunately.
