Fairly simple to assemble and install. I had to assemble while holding up the boards because I didn’t have the space to slide the boards through the side. I love the industrial vibe that these black pipes give! It’s very aesthetically pleasing! I used 4, 5 tier mounts with 12x12 pine boards. All hardware included even pipe straps! Great quality, mounts feel strong, sturdy and durable! Highly recommend!

Great, sturdy shelf system but there are some things to consider before you start screwing things together and affixing to the wall. 1.) The shorter pieces of pipe are for vertical and the longer pipes are for the shelves. 2.) Plan on how you want to affix the shelves, there are only enough pipe clamps to clamp in the middle of the shelf. If you want to install a clamp on the front and back of the shelf like we did, you will need more pipe clamps and the are nearly impossible to find in black. 3.) The drywall anchors do not have lips to prevent them from pushing into the wall. I would recommend not using the ones that come with the set for that reason, otherwise you will be screwing into the drywall and the screw and anchor will go into the wall, leaving you with a bunch of loose screws with no support, or you will have to take the whole bracket off and re-do with a different anchor. There are enough screws and anchors to make this sturdy with 1/2 installed properly, but this will make a big difference. Overall I will buy again and thing they look great! Pine shelves are a great wood to use and aren’t too expensive, but are hard and look great natural or with a Danish oil finish.

Beautiful and great quality. Pain in the rear end to put up by yourself. Keep everything loose until you’re done. Don’t worry about making the uprights perfectly square. You can fine tune it after you’ve installed the shelf brackets. Pro tip, use a lazer level. You’ll thank me later

The good: They arrived packed very well. Each part individually wrapped in foam. All the threads were correct and there were no incorrect or defective parts. They look very good in place and I trust that they will hold up my heavy art books and vinyl records without issue (screw them into the studs, not just the drywall). I would trust this thing in an earthquake. It is very strong! The screws and other included hardware were very good. The hardware was better than what came with the other poles that are from another seller. There was extra screws and one extra bracket thing (which is good because I bent one on accident. Very much my fault! Not the fault of the product.). The coating is very good. It is not oily or rough. It is not easy to scratch off. The bad: They do not align correctly when tightened down all the way, so they end up being a bit loose and unstable and it makes installation kind of annoying. Once they are attached to the wall, they are plenty stable and the shelves make it even more stable. I would trust this thing in an earthquake. Amazon, fix your review feature so I can add pictures without crashing the application.

Easy to install. Looks good and works great! You can make it fit your space and just cut the board to length!

Was looking for an affordable option for shelving. Usually go with Ikea Billy bookcases but they crumble when you need to move them. Came across this idea and decided to give this brand a shot. Worked out great even though as others have said, the instructions are basically Hieroglyphs. I ended up going a different way, purchased two sets and built my own configuration. Instead of mounting to the floor/ceiling I wrapped it back around to the wall, giving me an extra shelf. Plus I have extra parts to build more shelves, provided I buy more elbows. I did screw up with my wood measurements, and I measured thrice 😂 . But down the line I'll go back add more units and redo it all the right way. Holding up so far, mounted into the studs of course. I've recently moved, had all my movies/games in these Rubbermaid containers for some time. When I found a few of them curled I knew I needed something high capacity, affordable and strong. Quick! This checks all these boxes, plus allows you to be creative making it fit your space.

This is an incredibly sturdy shelf system, HOWEVER PLEASE READ BEFORE ASSEMBLING. The assembly instructions are almost non existent, and there is no parts diagram to explain what you should have. There are two longer poles, and then two sets of shorter poles. The shortest poles (x8) are used for the upright pieces, and the very slightly longer short poles (x10) are attached horizontally and the wall brackets (x12) go on these and the two longest poles. Nothing is labeled. Sort everything before you start. This easily could have been a 5 star product had there been adequate instructions that included a parts diagram. Because of this, we had to use pliers to remove a few of the poles to rearrange them in the correct places. Those poles had to be sanded and repainted because even with protective padding the black coating was rubbed off by the pliers. Also, either attach to wall studs or buy different anchors as the ones provided are pretty awful. (I didn’t deduct stars for the anchors, I usually use better anchors than those supplied with things that mount to the wall, just know it’ll be an extra cost you’ll want to figure in.) Also have a level handy to check the level and plumb of each shelf bracket before attaching to the wall. There is some flex in the piping even if tightened completely until it’s attached to the wall and nobody likes it when things roll off shelves.

If you are on the fence about this product, just buy it! Trust me! It came quickly, we had all the parts with very simple instructions! Easy installation. Makes you feel like you are diying a project without hunting down all the pieces! I love the functionality of the finished product. Used for playing room storage and I am obsessed!
