Improved my National Parks trip!
Perfect for my Utah National Parks trip - travelling in August it was HOT - like 90-100 degrees. I was also going to be in the desert. I really loved being hands free and having water. Perfect size to hold maps, a fleece, cameras, snacks. Perfect size with or without the camelbak insert in - will use alot - and love the color that looks blue in some light and purple in other. If you are hiking or going to be outside at a festival and need water - this is totally a perfect device to improve your experience. Shipped fast and was in perfect new condition.

Great for warm weather
Went for my first hike with this pack. Overall I like it. Great for hydration--holds a lot and is convenient. The only reason I am not rating a 5 is that the bottom waist straps could be longer. I am a med. frame at 5'7" and it actually rides around the high part of the hip. With a light jacket or something light it fits fine. I tried it with my heavy jacket and when the bottom straps are fully extended it barely fits so it is too tight. The bottom straps should be longer or detachable. It is great for warm weather but I don't think it would work comfortably in cold weather over a thick jacket.

Amazing!
This backpack is AMAZING. It carries enough food for a whole day of hiking. It holds 3L of water, and has room to carry additional water/gatorade if needed. I used this backpack for the first time to do an all day hike in Yosemite, and packed it full of food and water. The best part about this backpack is that the weight distributes so perfectly across your back that you don't feel like it is really heavy. It doesn't hurt your back at all, which is exactly what you need for all day hikes. Not to mention, it is a very beautiful backpack! Overall I am totally satisfied with this product!

Amazing!
This camelbak is worth every penny! I used it to climb Mt.Fuji and it was a life saver! The pack itself is very comfortable with the added padding on the back, shoulders and hip strap. It Easily fit my extra clothing and gear for my long hike up Fuji. The only thing I was a little disappointed in is that my iPhone did not fit in the pocket on the hip strap...but that is a very minor set back. I love this pack!

Comfortable and roomy
This year I used my friends Daystar pack twice. The first time I thought I imagined how great it was; the second time I was so pleased to realize that it is just a terrific backpack!! It is comfortable. One particular use that pleased our whole group was my trip to the grocery store. I was in Iowa on a bike ride and wanted to surprise the group with nice snacks. So I found a grocery store, filled up my backpack with fruit, cheese, salami, crackers--and then used the two side pockets to hold bottle of wine. The snacks were a huge hit and I couldn't have done it without this great backpack!

Great Product
LOVE this pack! Used it to hike down and up the Grand Canyon. It is roomy enough to hold essentials, including overnight stuff, but it's not too big either. Especially like the water system. Even in the above 100 degree temps it kept my water cold (of course I put icy water in when I filled it)! Definitely recommend this pack!

so having the straw available at all times was so convenient and kept me easily hydrated. The 100 oz reservoir of water lasted .
This pack is exactly what I wanted for day hikes. I have never owned a Camelbak before, so having the straw available at all times was so convenient and kept me easily hydrated. The 100 oz reservoir of water lasted me 7 hours in the 100 degree heat and direct sunlight in the Rockies in Colorado. There are organizational pockets inside so I could easily store and find my keys, phone, chapstick, and Clif Bar. There is even a small pocket on the waist strap to put your phone, chapstick, or anything small. I also liked how this pack has a back ventilation system so your back can stay cool and mostly dry. Another plus-- it's a really good looking backpack.
