I like it! Don’t try it expecting coffee taste though, as I’ve seen a lot of others do in these reviews. It tastes like matcha, but earthier. If the grassy taste of matcha is too much for you then this isn’t your jam! It’s great for evening, low caffeine and doesn’t make me feel panicky. It’s a decent quality of powder, no micro bubbles but it mixes decently enough, it’s not super silky but the small amount of grain doesn’t bother me at all since it’s a good price.

This is an excellent low caffeine tea. It's my all time favorite one. I find it much better than the matcha ceremonial tea.

I started drinking Hojicha a few months ago so I have been testing different brands based on reviews of the products trying to find the perfect one for me. I found that I prefer a deeply roasted/nutty Hojicha almost reminiscent of cocoa. Luckily I have found what I’m looking for, but this Hojicha wasn’t it. I fear this one wasn’t even that great. It has a roasted flavor but it’s giving more of a burnt tea taste. Very tea forward with a smoky finish. This flavor may be enjoyable to some. The thing that made this 2 stars for me was the grit it left in the bottom of my bowl when preparing. No matter how much I whisked with my chasen there was still grit left behind after each pour. I then turned to my electric frother and even then there was grit left. Not to mention, when mixing this Hojicha with hot water there is no foam that can be created. It’s flat. I would not recommend this brand. I can’t imagine what their matcha much be like.

Surprised at how good it is, considering it is not that expensive. Not grainy at all and whisks up to be foamy with a chasen.

Taste wise, it’s very one note, bitter, almost black tea like. Not terrible, but not what I’m looking for in hojicha. This hojicha powder lacks a lot of depth in flavour that other brands I’ve tried had.

Awful… ocha&co no longer selling so we had to find an alternative. Definitely doesn’t taste good nor like hojicha. Also, not smooth. Can taste grainy no wonder why it’s so cheap. Don’t know why it’s highly rated. Doesn’t have good aroma either

The hojicha flavor is lovely, although I noticed it seems to be more grainy than others I have tried and doesn't mix in as well or create as nice of a microfoam when I wisk it up.

This product is absolutely incredible! Easily one of the best I’ve ever tried! It has the perfect balance of nutty and earthy flavors, which makes it incredibly satisfying and unique.
