My most beloved textbook of all my academic career.
I had the fourth edition of this text when in undergrad; we used it for our nutrition assessment course for my non-dietetics undergrad nutrition program. I then did a Masters in Nutrition (Dietetics) and am now a PhD student and researcher in the field of nutrition. Nutrition assessment and what I learned from this book is an absolute niche passion of mine. Without being able to assess and quantify nutrition status, exposures, and outcomes we cannot do nutrition science. Without being able to assess a patient we cannot help someone in our care. All nutrition and dietetics is built upon the foundation of proper nutrition assessment, and this line of texts is a straight-forward and information-rich resource on this subject. I am at this page because, despite no longer being in classes, I desire to own the new edition of this book due to its sheer usefulness. I can't wait for the new (compared to my 4th!) edition I'm about to order on this page to arrive!
