Exactly what I needed
This is a nice, small forge. I bought this for small projects that do not warrant starting my coal forge. Set up is simple and fast. I am building a stand for it to make it more comfortable to use. I am skeptical about obtaining forge welding heat, but it does fine heating thin material (3/8" or less). For a beginner blacksmith or as a secondary forge, I would recommended it. If you want a big forge for making damascus, this isn't it. It is small. It is affordable, and more than suitable for small projects. I had no issues with the burner, or other components. Edit: After some minor adjustments, this forge is more than capable of forge welding heat. The chamber is too small for many projects that require forge welding, but it is nice to have the capability. 6/5 stars.

Great product
This little forge is great. It heats up fast and really works well. The first time I ran it I put a piece of tooling steel in it. It was up to forging temperature fairly fast for it's size. I haven't really had a chance to give it a good workout but from what I can tell it's going to work out perfect for the type of work I'm going to use it for. Most of the time I'm working with softer steel but I wanted to test it with tooling steel. From what I seen with the tooling steel I should have any problems with the softer steel I use most of the time.

Single burner forge
This forge works really well. It heated up quickly and got my knife to critical temp quickly. My only issue is not with the forge itself, but it was missing one of the brass connectors for the rubber pripane hose.

Great value for a beginner.
This is my first attempt at any type of blacksmithing work using anything besides a torch for heat. The main reason I got this forge was to make forged hooks to hang our cast iron cookware. After researching forges I chose this one because it comes with the ridgeizer already applied. It also comes with refractory coating that you apply. I have not applied it yet. I was to anxious to try it out. In less than an hour after opening the box I had fired it up and started with low heat and built the heat gradually. The fire brick that came with the forge felt a little damp when unwrapped, so I wanted to to dry gradually. Within 4 hours of opening the box I had made several hooks. I even heated the tongs I had purchased to adjust them to better suit my usage. So far I have only run the forge at 5 PSI gas pressure. That was plenty of heat for what I was doing. It will run up to 21 PSI. The attached photos are of what was done in a total of about 5 hours by a first timer. All I can say is that this is a great little forge for a beginner. Just remember it is for smaller work. You aren't going to produce a great sword using this forge for your heat source. Great value for for money.

A forge for an alaven year old
This was something that my eleven year old grandson wanted for some time. He tried to make one and he became frustrated. So, we got it…..I’m so happy to watch his happiness and the hard work he puts in the project. It is for a beginner but it is perfect for this young man. I recommend getting the extra tools…full size leather apron, the pliers to handle the piece of steel, and the hammer. I hope this helps folks to get this product. It was a great choice for us

Fantastic little forge, amazing value!
I love this forge and would recommend it to anyone thinking about getting into forging and blacksmithing. I have used mine for over a year and probably put around 80 tanks of propane through it! The burner is great and I've had no trouble getting up to welding heat. One thing I did was line the ceramic blanked with refractory cement - this will make it last much longer and hold the heat better. Also a higher-pressure regulator will help you out. 10/10 love this forge. I am using a larger homemade forge now, but still keep this around for smaller projects.

Works, but could have been better.
Exactly what I ordered. However one of the feet for the base was broken off before being placed in the box and shipped and some other peices were missing. There is also no way to get ahold the company, their website just comes up error messages while trying to submit the everything. I also ordered a brand new product. Overall it's what I ordered, but probably not going to order from this particular company again.

Great for beginners
It's great for beginners, it's only $109.99 and preforms great. The only two complaints I have are that I had to get a different regulator ( I didn't have the right propane tank ) and the insulation around the neck was a little confusing. But other than those two things I highly recommend it. If you want to get into knife making, this is the best and most cost effective forge to buy.

Quelques difficultés lors de l'assemblage car la sortie du brûleur était bouché et instructions plus ou moins claires. Toutefois une fois en place, ça fait le travail pour des pièces de métal pas trop épaisses.

Hopefully you’ll be luckier than me. Easy to put together but after 2 wks of looking at advice on forging blogs re propane-O2 mixes & gas flow rates, getting added fire bricks to decrease internal volume & blocking off the back and reducing the front with kaowool there’s still no sign of any steel getting anywhere close to a any red. Contacted the company at their web site but never got an answer. Last shot before I accept it’s been a waste of $400 will be to double the lining from 1->2”. After that if I’m out of luck it’ll be back to charcoal and forced air or my kiln. Take away lesson…these aren’t plug and play.

the quality of this kit is nice, steel is thick all around, has a good weight. the hose for the propane is a good length, and comes with some nice accessories like the refractory, extra nozzles. But the forge is much smaller than i thought, with the wool inside, you have about 10x3.5x3.5". I coated the forge in refractory and currently waiting for that to set so i haven't fired it up yet but i doubt it will have any difficulty getting hot
