We R Memory Keepers Button Press Kit

I got this button maker and a 100 pack of refill buttons for one of my kids for Christmas. To say they loved it would be an understatement! The button maker had a tiny bit of a learning curve involved, but it didn't take long to figure out. What followed was a drawing frenzy to make art for the buttons. Within 2 weeks, ALL of the buttons were assembled, each with unique custom art. I chose this one because it seemed to be more durable and of higher quality than others I saw available. It was more expensive than other options, but again, I wanted quality and durability. It would have been really disappointing to have it break soon after receiving it. This one has held up well with VERY heavy use. I do wish I had seen the kit with all the cutters included before buying, but we are VERY happy with the one we got.

Initially I thought this button press was broken. Turns out it's just a bit complicated, but once you figure it out, it's very easy to use. I'll explain everything you need to know to get this working 90% of the time. 1. To use the button press, insert the top and bottom pieces. There is an arrow pointing up and down on the top and bottom of the machine. You can slide both the top and bottom to setting "A", or setting "B". The button press will not work properly if you do not start with A and then go to B. A is for loading the button "front" to the top, and B is for pressing the button itself together. 2. Press HARD. For the cutting tool, you will need to press very hard until you hear the sound of paper ripping. For the button tool, press until you can't press any further. My buttons came out horrible and wouldn't press perfectly until I put both hands on the handle and pressed it to the end. Of course, don't press so hard that it breaks, but if you press sufficiently hard enough, it will cut/press perfectly 90% of the time. 3. These only come with 10 of each piece. The small buttons are smaller than you'd think, so make sure to check which size you want before purchasing refills. Each button size comes with mylar front backings, which you will need if you want a glossy look for your button. Overall, this machine was very easy to use, and customer support on the website was quick and helpful. I would recommend reaching out to the manufacturers if anything doesn't seem right, it takes a bit of tinkering to figure out but once you do it's very fun.

I absolutely love this machine. It works beautifully, and once you get the hang of it, it’s a breeze to use. I waited until it was on sale during Black Friday to make a little bit more affordable. I’ve made over a hundred pins and it still looks and act like it’s brand new.

This review is lengthy, but I think it gives an insight on my perspective of this product. I have a few issues with this product and seller, but it’s okay of a product. Allow me to explain. The button press was bought new. The top of the box had brown stuff that looked similar to a 💩 smear. After opening the box, I pulled the items out and realized several pieces were dirty. Almost as if these were used prior or something. Photo for reference. I was given 5 pin accessories but only 3 mylar pieces to make these pins completely sealed. I was not expecting only 3 when it seemed to advertise for 5 complete pin accessories. If this item only comes with 3, that should be advertised somewhere on packaging. I don’t know who would want a matte button that can be at risk of damage. I contacted the seller and I’ll update this review as soon as they respond. The button press was easy to assemble HOWEVER when using the piece that you put on top of your paper/material (I used regular printer paper) to press it into the correct size for your button, it didn’t puncture all the way through like it should. I did it three times on the same image and I pressed hard on this. I ended up using scissors to get an approximate size. Now, when using the press for its intended purpose it works great. Sadly I was wanting to make these into magnets for my small business. This is advertised to the option of making magnets also. I took the pin off the back casing and inserted it where it said to align on the lines. It didn’t catch and I ended up wasting 2 of the 3 mylar pieces. 🥲 I ended up having to leave the pin on it and I used wire cutters to cut the pin piece to pull out to adhere a strong magnet to the back. All in all it has potential but it was upsetting while I used it. I do think this works great for its intended purpose so I would recommend. The price is great for this product too and I chose this specific product because they are the only ones selling the square accessory at an affordable cost. Just be weary I guess.

I really like this press. You really have to watch a video if anything seems unclear at all how to use it, it's super easy once you understand how to orient the paper and the pin back so it's all the right side up when you're done. The medium bottom magnetic insert for the button maker had a problem with part of it getting stuck in the base and a tiny part of the plastic clip broke off. When I contacted Customer Service, they sent me a replacement medium insert set and some supplies to go with it, very nice support! The 1.5 inch button (medium size) insert is my favorite. The 1 inch button is finicky, probably because of static on the mylar and getting the button to lie exactly flat in the base is trickier. The great thing is you can also get a square insert set separately, and that's something I don't see anywhere else. Great machine!

A máquina de bottons é perfeita. Foi entregue antes do prazo estipulado. De fácil manuseio e fácil de guardar, pois ocupado pouco espaço. Já fiz muito bottons testes, seguindo as orientações do manual.

seit lange wollte ich diese Maschine kaufen und jetzt haben wir! ich finde sehr schön dass wir die Grosse und die Formen wechseln können! natürlich extra kaufen, aber allen passen auf die gleiche Struktur!! sind wir sehr zufrieden!

Questa è la seconda che compro in quanto la prima, che avevo preso usata, era stata usata così tanto da perdere un po’ di smalto (funzionava comunque alla perfezione). Funziona, è intuitiva e soprattutto ha un bel design, cosa non scontata per questo tipo di macchinari. Raccomando sia a novizi che chi vuole un bel macchinario da usare tanto!
