Does not block the blue light range to sleep better
Regrettable buy; the product has good marketing but misleading - from the amazon description “block up to 90% of harmful blue light emissions” and in the “protect your sleep” section it says they have developed an “...effective blue light filter”. However, the info sheet delivered with the product states Ocushield screen protector is intended to “block 90% of blue light between wavelengths 380nm to 420nm and up to 35% blue light from 420nm to 500nm”, unfortunately I did not see this until AFTER applying the screen protector otherwise I would of sent the screen protector back for a refund. I bought the screen protector to block blue light that disrupts sleep (and so stop wearing my blue light blocking sunglasses and/or night shift on iPhone) and this product does not block the required range. It’s misleading to not included the info that’s on this sheet on the amazon write up, to state 90% misleads you to believe it blocks most of the blue light range and not that it’s ‘up to’ 90% of just a small range of blue light and that it’s only managed to block “up to 35%” of another part of the blue light range. The blue light range that is shown to suppress melatonin is 446-477 nm which is barely blocked by the screen. So a waste of £25 pulling off a perfectly good screen protector to put this one on, which has a blue tinge and I still have to use nightshift or put sleep glasses on!

Easy installation & easy on the eyes
Firstly - this is not a sponsored the review. I actually bought the product with my own money for the full price. It annoys me so much to see reviews that are sponsored aka worth nothing. The screen glass cover came a bit over the top packaged, which made me quite mad. Trying to cut plastic waste as much as I can and here come several layers. BUT that said, it was a remarkably easy installation. There was a cleaning kit (wipe and stickers to pick up dust) and the actual screen glass is position in what looks like an iPhone shell. So all you have to do is position your phone inside, press down and done. Perfectly aligned with no air bubbles etc. Now, the blue light filter. I genuinely spend too much time on my phone and often have strained eyes at the end of the day. In the sense of the muscles behind my eyes were hurting. And this really has stopped / reduced to a very small amount now. I can’t comment on sleep, as I am a terrible sleeper for all sorts of reasons.Plus, your phone is a bit more protected. By the way, when the phone is off, the screen will have a blue sheen on it from the cover. I personally quite like it.So overall, I’d recommend the product.

This product has been brilliant in the past the second one I’ve had problems with.
This is my second Ocushield for my iPhone which I use all the time for everything. The first Ocushield I had was absolutely brilliant. It was easy to apply, it didn’t affect the colour of the screen and it protected my phone when I accidentally dropped it at hight onto a concrete gritty floor. The Ocushield cracked but not my screen on my iPhone.I’ve just bought my second Ocushield and I can’t believe how much it’s gone up in price in 6 months!! I made the mistake of not getting the first Ocushield registered with the 2 year warranty. Please get the warranty registered. My second Ocushield I’ve had problems with, the plastic shield has marks in the plastic which makes it look like there are hairs stuck to the screen which there aren’t because I removed it and I could see the marks. The Ocushield isn’t fully sticking to my phone screen I I can’t get rid of all the bubbles which again is irritating. For the price of this Ocushield you expect perfection because it’s one of the most expensive mobile phone protective shields available.I’ve contacted Ocushield requesting a replacement.Because the first screen protector I had from them was brilliant I think the second is unfortunate. It has in the past done an excellent job.

Good for blue light, not great for much else
If you’re looking for a screen cover that’s easy to install and reduces blue light, then this is great. Sadly it’s not perfect in many other aspects.Firstly, these come with a brilliant installation template, so if you’ve had problems lining up your screen protector in the past then this will allow you to breathe easy. You simply make sure your screen is clear of dust and drop the cardboard shape around your phone - like a phone case. Done! Amazing. The blue light tech in these is fantastic, it makes the image much less stressful for your eyes in dark environments, however this is where the benefits stop for me.As a professional photographer needing a clear, non colour altering display, this fails despite the claims. It does reduce blues and alters skin tones as a result, leading clean images of people to look slightly mucky, discoloured and jaundiced.Never mind, I can deal with that, I have various other screens, like my iPad and MacBook, to be able to showcase my images from. It’s a shame my readily available phone doesn’t show my images to the best colour accuracy but it’s not colour destroying and still suitable for a small form factor viewing.Sadly, this screen protector doesn’t function fantastically well at being a ‘screen protector’. I’m not too sure what strength of tempered glass is being used but it’s easily fractured and chipped on the edges, and after only a couple of months of use for my second one in 4 months I’ve got two nice cracks split across from different places after a single drop on thinly carpeted floor. My initial one actually broke along with my screen shattering beneath it from a waist high drop onto tarmac - not much in the way of screen protection. Oh, and I use a fairly expensive rubber case around my phone too.So I guess if you have a good armoured case that’s going to protect your screen anyway and you want blue light reduction with less discolouration than apple’s built in offering, this is great! If you want screen protection or perfect colour rendition, you’re better off getting something built better for strength.
