Strong product, great customer service
First winch I got broke on the first use, tooth snapped off. I reached out to the company and they took care of me right away. Must have been a fluke, the 2nd winch works flawlessly. I use it on my 2007 SeaRay 220 Sundeck.

Satisfied
Awesome winch for the price 1/2 the cost or less than 1/2 of many brands. Excellent quality.

Garbage
Winch gears are cheap and don't hold up. While cranking my boat up the gears started to skip, bend and now are completely stripped. Don't waste your money on chinese junk. No warranty on it so I threw it away and bought a Fulton which works flawlessly. Stick with the names you know when it comes to boat trailer winches is what I've now learned the hard way.

Broken teeth on drum after third use.
Winch was a little difficult to install because one of the bolt holes is located directly under the drum which is hard to maneuver a bolt into place. The gear teeth on the drum sheared off and deformed on the third use of the winch. Looks like poor metal quality or lack of sufficient hardening. Direction selector seems sketchy as it relies on an off-angle spring to hold the lever in the engaged position. Often the spring does not slide all the way to the end of the slot, which doesn't hold the winch in gear, falling back to the free-spinning position. High and low speeds are achieved by unbolting the handle and moving it to the other shaft, which is not practical in the field. User must preemptively decide which position to use the winch in when installing. Additionally the bend in the lever is not large enough to clear the other speed's shaft. The shafts had to be filed down for clearance to allow the handle to free spin without contacting. Will be upgrading to the more expensive, but same capacity Fulton winch, which has multiple gear plates stacked for redundancy and a better shifting mechanism.

Surprised at how well it's held up!
The initial reviews gave me pause and concern on whether this item would hold up in terms of durability. Well, I've had it for 1.5 years now, and used it around 15-20 times to pull up my 4500 lb Bayliner Ciera. And it's succeeded each time, with no signs of fray or falling apart at the strap or the teeth. I was concerned the first few times I used it but it's been working great. I took off one star because the nuts and bolts that come with it aren't the best, and with all the road vibration, 2 of the 3 mounting nets and bolts actually fell off! I replaced them with new ones and nylon locking nuts and some washers to help keep them in place. Thankfully I did a walk around inspection half way through one of my longer trips and notices the nuts/bolts that came loose and fell off. Otherwise this might have been a disaster.

Strap and winch.
The strap is thick and not worried it's going to break. The winch is strong I used it to pull a 16'x6' wide and 4' deep bay boat on the trailer with no problem. The quick release is awesome to just flip the handle and pull the strap. The handle can go in two locations on the winch for gear ratios to make the load easy to pull. Doesn't feel cheap very happy with this item.
