Easy set up and clear display.
Great device, all worked out of the box. Good range on remote sensors and all within 0.5 degrees of each other. Excellent clear screen with all sensors displayed together.

Good price for what you get.
This is an excellent item. You get 3transmitters and a base unit.readings are really good and easy to read.i have had this unit for about a year and previous units from the same make i have had for 5years. So its been a good buy. Plug in but you can put a couple of AA batteries so you wont lose your settings if there is a power cut.or simply to move from place to place.

The service department could improve its public relations
I done quite a lot of research on which weather station to replace the one that had failed to see if I could avoid those failings again. The problem being the external sensor being damaged by rain and damp and not being waterproof. I thought the solution for this for me was to buy one with three sensors so I could keep two as spares so I went for the YC 9443 it arrived promptly was very easy to set it up from the box there were reasonably comprehensive instructions in very small Print . but two or three questions remain unanswered for me, one was it seemed to imply all three sensor had to be connected even if you were only using one, was that the case. As it runs on mains and battery. If you put batteries does it preserve all information if the mains lead comes out of the station? And finally I tried out one of the sensors in the fridge and it didn’t work which made me wonder if the fridge is only 3°C and these are supposed to work to -14 what would happen in freezing conditions outside. I sent an email to the service department But only got one answer back telling me that the sensors were not designed for a fridge and included a link for a fridge sensor, fine. Didn’t quite answer the question about how the sensor survives outside in persistent freezing weather never mind. But as to the answer is about the batteries and having to plug in all three senses, not a word I reminded them again they replied Saying if I didn’t like my the answer that had been sent that’s the best they could do, which didn’t seem very helpful. The questions didn’t seem to be particularly difficult so only one star for the backup but I’ve made the decision not to plug the other two sensors and to keep them in reserve. Everything seems to be working fine. I’m very happy with the station. Back up service department could be improved

Accuracy, quality and visual are excellent
As stated on the box accuracy of all three sensors should be good when approximately three hours has been allowed for the sensors to stabilise, which was certainly within plus or minus half a degree C (see pictures). The sensors where then Placed in there required locations: Sensor 1. Outside, I tried this in a food container with lid and drilled holes in the container to allow air but not water in. It has worked extremely well(ensure the container is positioned out of direct sunlight for correct air temperature/humidity). Sensor 2 This was positioned in our Utility area on top of a Fridge/freezer within our external detached garage to monitor air temperature as this area also includes a washing machine with a water supply. The area also includes a heater set at 5degC to provide protection against freezing. This sensor is located approx 10m away from the house and the signal is perfect through two external walls to the display located in our house. The benefit of seeing the temperature has been excellent during the recent cold spells and confirms the heater is coming on when the room temperature drops below 5 degrees C, perfect 😁 Sensor 3 Has been placed within our tourer caravan on our drive with the caravan heater set at 5 degrees C for frost protection very rarely comes on but confirms that the caravan is being protected. I also tried for one week with one of the sensors positioned within a -18degC freezer in the garage with perfect results considering the sensor signal was passing through the fridge wall, garage wall and the house wall. Considering the system is sold as a Weather monitoring system I am extremely pleased how it is functioning for my requirements, maybe the manufacturer should think about its use as a home monitoring system, as my use or monitoring room temperatures to finely tune the heating system/ thermostatic radiator valves!!!😁 I have found this unit to be very accurate and high quality for the cost of the unit and gives me confidence of the hopeful longevity. I have been involved for many years with temperature calibration (in Pharmaceuticals) and I am extremely impressed with the accuracy of the three remote sensors, maybe if you require to check them again you could bring the three of them together, ensure you let them stabilise for minimum of three hours, then you can compare all four temperatures(one on display for local temperature) From what I have experienced with this monitoring system I would recommend it. Update July 2024 16 Months on: Still working fine and maintained accuracy, remote sensor batteries were changed after 11 months. Very pleased with with this purchase Update:2nd April 2026 Still functioning and accurate after 3 years, still changing remote sensor battery after 12 months, very pleased with this purchase and would recommend to anyone based on my experience. Nice looking unit, clear display (on AC) but remote sensor range is next to useless
Bought to replace an aging Oregon unit with failing remote sensors. Fast delivery from Amazon and at first glance a nice clear looking display that is easy to read and shows the output from all 3 sensors without having to pole through each one, good start so far. Not particularly easy to set-up, this is not my first weather station but the instructions are poor, especially for the remote sensors. The screen is nice and bright but only connected to the AC adaptor, just on batteries it goes dark in seconds, there is also a very limited angle at which it can be read, not great but not a deal breaker. It's major weakness however is the remote sensors, individually they are nice enough and even have an LCD read out so you can see values in situ but the sensor range is poor to say the least. OK I know enough about radio to realise that the quoted 60m range is optimistic even in clear line of sight and walls cut this down significantly but the base unit is regularly failing to keep contact at less than 5m through 1 wall and to re-establish reading you need to bring the remote in to resync, maybe if your house is made of something other than bricks it will work but that's not my house. Returned for refund, trawling the web again for replacement Oregon sensors.
