Malfunctioning newly purchased Denso A/C Compressor
I purchased a Denso 471-1612 Toyota A/C compressor and it was delivered to me in Nigeria in November 2018. To my utmost surprise, the compressor has started to malfunction in March 2019 (just in 4 months). Now it only cools for a few minutes after I turn it on and thereafter it stops cooling until I turn it off and on again. I got an A/C technician to check the system and he said the compressor was bad and I needed to buy an new one. He mentioned that it was an automatic compressor and more prone to malfunction unlike the manual compressor (whatever that means). I'm in shock. I just lost money.
