I see alot off reviews saying the wire doesn’t fit into the holes on the adjustable locking screws to create loops at the end of the wire. Unscrew it first so the hole is open before sliding the wire through, it’s easy and works just fine. With that said, I hung lights and used the mechanism to tighten the tension on the wire as it’s intended. The wire slipped through the locking screws, stripped the coating on the wire and fell to the ground breaking bulbs, twice! Sure I made it pretty tight, but that’s what the kit is for. Tomorrow I will put 2 of those locking screw things on each end, to make sure this doesn’t happen again!! It’s a good kit, but if you really want it tight, you need to reinforce the locks that create the loop ends so they don’t slip. I would buy and use this again, but double up the locks if you plan to have tight tension. Extra crimps or double the screw locks. I will now go through the trouble tomorrow so they don’t fall down again, and hold sturdy for the long run. 9/27/2023 UPDATE - The wire and anchors have been up for over a year now, really tight tension holding up string lights about 40 to 50 foot stretches. Still holding strong. Works great.

Really nice product. Love the wire nuts they provided. Wayyyyy better that the clips I’ve had to use in the past. Holding strong so far.

Hung up outdoor lights with this cable kit. I didn't need instructions, I just figured it out in about 10 minutes time. All parts are sturdy and the install was fairly simple. The cable didn't fray when I cut it and the clamps are holding after about 2 months in the Vegas wind. I installed 2 eyelits to the house and ran cables from each of the eyelits to an 8 foot pole that I attached to my backyard wall. No issues at all. The lights I strung up are pretty hefty and weigh about 20 pounds per string, I currently have 3 sets of these lights strung around the cabling, so the cables can hold some weight for a long period of time. Everything about this kit was perfect for what I needed it for.

First - there is a recent review by Sean indicating the wire rope doesn't fit. It DOES fit if you strip the vinyl coating off. I'll note is the same for most wire rope terminations with vinyl coated wire. Once you strip it off (I used a utility knife and vice grips) you can easily create terminations. Overall really great kit to put up string lights - really is everything you need to put up a set at a really great price point. Noteable: - The 130 pieces are black twist ties not zip ties - I had thought they were zip ties think its reasonably clear if you read more but I missed it when I looked at the picture. In the end think the twist ties work better than the zip ties. Cons: - Lack of instructions (see first item) - think if you're reasonably familiar with wire rope you can fake your way through it but some guidance on what recommended interconnections to use (ie turnbuckle vs carabiner vs hook vs eye strap) - I used mostly turnbuckle to hook but in retrospect turnbuckle to eye strap may have been a marginally better choice. - When you cut wire rope the end will try to fray which the kit didn't provide anything or any instruction on how to deal with that - I used cable end caps from the bike parts bin but think tape works as well

Kit works perfectly and is really easy to use. The hardware is built tough and really thick. We had ~20ft runs in our backyard and this cable reinforced them no problem and it removed all the tension from the string lights! This is the only kit you need for great looking string lights.

Used the kit to string Edison style patio lights around the yard. Kit includes everything we needed to complete the project. Came with plenty of line (I have a ton left over). buying this kit saved us close to 35% off the cost of all of the pieces if we would have purchased them separately. Made the project very easy.

I bought this set for hanging my 3 sets of outdoor string lights. It has different type of hardware for different conditions which I think was very thoughtful. It has been up for over a year through a New England winter with no issue. The quality appears to be good and the price is very good compare to other similar products.

This wire kits works great for hanging lights. We bought this and hung from side to side in the garage. Easy to install, easy to hang and to tighten. Very durable and well made. Been hanging for almost a year and no issues and no stretching.
