One Application And Gophers Are GONE. Apply With Yard Butler Bait Applicator (Sold Separately)
I am so excited that this bait did the trick. I had pocket gophers destroying one of my garden beds, digging underneath and eating the roots of the plants from below, then emerging on the surface at night to eat the plants from the top, completely destroyed my plants. I tried other methods like smoke bombs and traps not wanting to use poison. But after the bed was completely decimated, I finally broke down and purchased these Go Die bait pellets. I also purchased the Yard Butler Gopher Bait Applicator (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EOMCJE0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to make sure I do the job right. Using the applicator, I was able to poke around the mounds until I found the den. It was over 2 feet down and huge! I made sure I dispense plenty of this bait. Then I dug open several of the surface tunnels. If the gophers are alive, they will usually repair the damage the very next day. Well, it's been a week they are as I left them. There is no more gopher activity. I have even replanted the bed... and so far, so good. Additionally, I feel good about delivering the poisonous bait so deep in the ground that the bait pellets themselves and the dead poisoned gophers cannot be accidentally be eaten by other animals, or come to the surface when I put plants down. I have to say that this bait in combination with the applicator was SUPERBLY effective. Sure it's over $20 for a pound of this bait. But I literally only used 2 tablespoons. I'll have bait for years in case a new family of gophers decides to take up residence in my beds again. Looking back, I should have done this sooner. I might have been able to save some of the garden before it was destroyed. TLDR: I highly recommend this bait and also that you get the applicator while you're at it. Sometimes you need to just spend some money to make sure you're getting effective tools for the job at hand! Go Die, gophers. Go Die!

This stuff is lethal
FINALLY! A product that actually killed my varmints. I wasted months and $$hundreds trying to get rid of the moles that kept destroying my lawn with tunnels everywhere. The EPIC Mole Scram repellent (castor oil) didn't work, despite spreading two 5-gallon buckets in 4 applications. It made my yard smell like a newly-paved asphalt parking lot, but did not phase the moles. I bought and deployed 5 bottles of the ProZap zinc phosphide pellets in the tunnels over an 8 week period, and they also seemed to have no effect on the moles. Finally, in desperation, I ordered one bottle of this Monterey Go-DIE Gopher Bait (strychnine) and sprinkled a little into holes in the tunnels, covering them up afterward. I know it is lethal, because I found a dead dove the next day in my back yard. Although I have no pets or children, I still was careful to cover the holes into the tunnels with dirt to prevent wildlife kills, but that dove apparently pecked a few pellets out of the dirt. Anyway, the tunnel activity is dramatically reduced after the first treatment. I applied another dose the next week, and have not seen any new mole activity since. Never did see a live mole, or smell dead ones, but I'm convinced that they're dead - this Go-DIE stuff really works!

Excellent product!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: On my second bottle since it worked so well. Effectiveness: Usually kills ground squirrels and gophers with one dose. Excellent product with strychnine as active ingredient. Ease of use: Just put in holes or runways. Never need to come in contact with it.

Didn't work for me!
5 days after using the whole bottle I still have moles/ gophers. Don't look to have slowed them down much. Disappointed!

Bye bye gophers
This product seemed to work great. Gophers, prairie dogs or such. This seemed to work better than any other product I have purchased in the past. I will purchase it again if needed.

Works much better than cheaper baits
In the past 2 months or so, I’ve bought so many different products to get rid of the gophers in my back yard, but this product has worked better than those other cheaper baits. TomCat is cheaper but it doesn’t work as well in my opinion. I also bought the Yard Butler bait applicator sold on Amazon to deliver the bait into their tunnels & it works great! When I find an open hole, I pour about a teaspoon or 2 down as far as I can into the hole. Then I carefully place a large rock over the hole so I don’t accidentally push soil over the bait. I also have 2 small dogs so I have to be absolutely sure that they can’t get to the bait. I also find the active tunnels with the yard butler tool & it delivers the bait, leaving a small hole. A rock will also work great to cover that hole & not get soil on the bait. As well as bait, I have used smoke bombs, which really seem to have reduced the numbers of gophers. I also cover the holes with a rock after placing the smoke bombs. I do still find a hole about every 2 days or so, but I know that eventually with diligence, I’ll be able to wipe them all out for good. They are very stubborn pests! Don’t give up!
