Pull Start Starter Part Motorcycle Alloy Pull Start Recoil Starter Replacement for 49cc Mini Pocket Dirt Bike Minimoto ATV Quad(White)

I possibly could not be more angry and frustrated with this part. Keeping in mind this is more expensive then most of the same ones as they go for around £10 for a pull start. I paid the extra as I was expecting a premium quality. As soon as I installed this part the first pull seemed very cheap and I could already feel that the string was going to snap. It’s important to know I was not by any means doing this with all my force and was applying the usual strength I always do which works. I have been using Amazon to buy hundreds of products over the years and can happily say I have never spent so much time writing a review such as this. I hope the staff can see this issue and get back to me via a solution, refund or a replacement.

Does the job and recoils all the way

Do not bother wasting your time in buying this product. I bought this the other day I put it on my boys quad bike and after 6 pulls the inside metal cast has snapped. TBH I’m not surprised as it’s as cheap as it is, that said should be able to start the bike before breaking. As useful as a chocolate teapot 👍🏻

Easy to change but we've had 3 now and the cord in them threads like butter. Dissapointed child as this one snapped on the first pull!!

Avoid buying!! I know its cheap but this lasted less than 15 pulls. The sharp edges on the internals and the fact the cable does not line up with the outfeed hole means the line snapped on the second time trying to use it. Totally unacceptable and a complete waste of time

Absolutely rubbish. The holes was about 2mm each in the wrong place and once I’d honed them out to fit the cord wore through and snapped on (roughly) the 10th pull.

First the good bits. It arrived on time, appeared to be exactly as described and the quality seemed to be better than the part it was replacing and fitted perfectly. Now the bad bits……. After fitting. I went to start the bike. After about 6 pulls I noticed the cord was fraying, in less than a minute, it had snapped. Ok, I thought that maybe it was a dodgy cord, so I replaced the cord. The same thing happened again. On closer inspection, I noticed that the brass grommet which is where the cord exits the body, appeared to have some sharp irregular edges where the crimping wasn’t ‘clean’. So I removed the grommet, and replaced the cord again. For the third time, the cord snapped again in the same manner. Not sure if it has any bearing, but the cord frayed and snapped in roughly the same place each time. Approximately 2/3 along the length towards the body. In summary, it appeared to be a good product, but is completely useless as the cord doesn’t last long enough to start the machine.

Iv had same problem string snapped its the brass fitting the string goes through it’s not seated properly so the string rubs on the rough edges that’s what’s making the string to snap The pick with the snapped string is the one that’s not seated properly the other pick is how it should be seated
