I’m an Asian man w/ straight, medium thickness hair currently wearing a tapered haircut, styling towards side part or loose pompadour. This has been a fantastic product for me. It is thick in the jar, but spreads out smoothly in my hands when taking a dime size ball and kneading it for a few seconds. Run it through freshly blow dried hair and it gives great hold and texture that actually lasts most of the day. It initially feels a bit sticky but that seems to fade a few hours in when it dries. Great part about this is that I can actually “reset” my hairstyle with just my hands late in the day as needed and it stays quite well. Matte finish and not greasy when used sparingly and applied evenly. Doesn’t make my forehead and scalp break out w acne as more greasy/petroleum/pure lanolin based products do. If you’ve got medium length, medium thickness, straight hair, I think you’ll find it works well.

My husband has officially been using this product for 4 years now. He can't live without it. He only uses tiny bit each time so this stuff will last us about 3-4 months at a time. It doesn't smell, the texture is creamy and think, it holds all day, 10/10 top notch quality.

Holds well and lasts all day. Only problem I had with it (that everyone else seems to mention) is that it's not really usable out of the can. I mixed it with a little bit of water and it's got a much easier texture to work with.

I’ve tried all different hair products, and keep coming back to this one (32yo male, 0 fade on sides with medium short hair on top) It’s pliable yet durable, giving you the ability to lock in a look or rework throughout the day. Smells great, matte finish. Very easy to wash out. Simply put, it just works.

Bought my husband this paste at my salon. He loved it. He says it holds well without being too greasy. Found it cheaper on amazon than at my salon.

Product arrived hard as a rock and unusable. I've tried to add a few drops of water on top to see if it would be re-hydrated overnight but that didn't work. Total waste of money as I can't return it since its been over a month since I received it. I always have a spare for when my current jar runs out and unfortunately....this is what I got.

I have tried several hair products up until the texture paste became my new favorite. It is true like a lot of the other reviewers/consumers state that the product is in fact semi-difficult to apply to dry hair. Its not impossible to work into dry hair, but it will take some patience and dries quickly in your hands. A small bit of product goes a long way with this stuff. If you do purchase this paste, be aware of that, but otherwise, the scent smells fascinating. It's not too strong or soft, its just right. I ended up buying two more cause it worked great for me. I would say its best suited for shorter to medium hair length. Overall, its my new go-to.

My hair dresser introduced me to this product but couldn’t get anymore until I found it on Amazon. It’s probably the best product I’ve used for short to medium length hair. Smells good too

This company sold me an outdated, dried-up hair product and promised to take it back and refund my money. I was forced to pay for the shipping and after dozens of messages and prompts, with them telling me that they would refund my money, they haven't and it's been over 6 weeks now. AVOID SALONTOPPER!

Great smell, strong hold for thick hair and it has a fairly matte shine. The paste needs to be worked in your hands a decent amount for the product to work. I would buy it again.

Purchased this because I had used at a barber shop, liked it so I thought I’d order some. It took forever to come and when it did it was a solid brick. The paste had dried up. Waste of money
