So far so good...
My 3yr old daughter LOVES this bed! She asked for a "Princess Bed" for Christmas, and this did not disappoint! She's probably a little too old for us to have purchased it, but it was actually bigger than we thought it would be. She could probably use it for another 2-3 years. It fits her crib mattress perfectly, not too tight and no gaps at all. The colors are beautiful, and the design is even better than the picture. The little gold details are so cute! It took us (my husband and myself) probably 30-45 minutes to put together. It wasn't difficult at all, and he or I could have probably done it alone if we had needed to. We also used wood glue, which wasn't necessary, but we thought it wouldn't hurt either. As long as you set all the parts out before hand, and get a little organized, you shouldn't have any problem putting it together. It seems really sturdy, much more sturdy than those little toddler beds you find in department stores. Delivery was excellent. We were told it would be delivered in 7-10 days, so we were surprised when we ordered it on a Saturday and it showed up the next Monday! Beware though, they don't warn you when it will come in , and the delivery people left in on our front step in full view of the street. So make sure you keep up with the tracking code online. We are also having to order a replacement part, since part 15 (support beam) was WAY too short. But it's free, and will be in soon. Ordering replacement parts is very easy.

Great first bed
I can only share my experience: 1. Cute design; assembled, it looks just like the picture 2. Daughter loves it (which is why I got it) Pros: 1. All the hardware came in one preformed package, so if something was missing it was easily discovered (nothing was missing) 2. All the holes lined up (no issues) 3. Color was 'of/or like' pink and purplish, goes well together 4. No smell of paint, or anything 5. Crib mattress fits perfectly, like it was made for it 6. Installation time 1.5 hrs (and took my time with the 4mm hex wrench to not scratch the pink paint off the bolt heads) 7. Double boxed - cardboard outer box over inner box - great protection Cons: 1. One hairline crack (in the wood, painted over) which, as the wood continues to dry over time, may cause it to open. In that case, I'll probably fill it and sand it. Until then, it works. Summary: Glad I bought it, great product. Also, the flyer in the box has contact information of the company in case something is missing or is not right. They seem to have reacted to [alleged] earlier issues...positively if you ask me.

UPDATE Perfect for a Princess
The look on my Granddaughers face was priceless. She loves this bed and transended into her 'own' room for sleep-overs at 'Aba's' house. She even waved and said "goodbye pink bed" yesterday when we left to take her home. I love it and most of all she loves it. Sturdy, exactly as pictured. UPDATE. I used this bed for my G-daughter almost 2 years. I disassembled it and stored in the closet waiting for the 'next' little Princess to be ready to enjoy on their sleep-overs. Attaching a photo at my 2nd Townhouse and the man that put it together the 2nd time had the foot-board turned the wrong way...but no one noticed. hah We will make sure this 3rd time it faces right. Great, Sturdy, lovely bed & Built-in side rails. G-daughter wanted to 'make' her bed in this photo and in doing so covered much of the Princess 'touches' but you can get the idea. Great bed- Great Price.

Fantastic Princess bed
I first purchased a Kidkraft Princess Bed for my first daughter. It's a medieval fantasy-themed bed, made of high quality solid materials, and decorated with loving care. My daughter loves it! Anyone visiting who sees the bed in her room always comments about what a wonderful girls bed it is, and my daughter is always telling her friends about it. It's solid enough that a large adult can sit on it to read stories at night, I weigh about 250lbs, and it doesn't give at all - it has very solid bracing underneath. Since you get to put it together (that takes about an hour), you get a very good perspective on how well it's made. I expect this bed to last for years and years. In fact, it's so well made, that when daughter #2 came along, I had to purchase another one for her! Now both of my little princesses have lovely matching beds!

Great quality product perfect for your little princess
I love this bed and so does my daughter. It did take a little time to put together but overall it was easy and well worth is because it is undoubtably sturdy. It is made of solid wood and hand painted. I read a poor review on this and I have to disagree. Although the bed does differ slightly but only because there are not gold band around the middle of the poles. This bed is very low to the floor, perfect for your little one's first big girl bed. I have purchased this bed and a train table from kidkraft and have been highly satisfied with their quality.

Cheaply made
Cute bed, but not very well made. I got this for my daughter for Christmas and put it together a few days after that. Less then a month later its got chips on the sides and the side dark pink accents are all ready slightly coming off, I was going to buy the whole set for my daughters room glad i didn't. While its cute save your money and choose a different bed. 7 month update: The board that supports the boards that the mattress sits on broke. It has a feel of like super thick cardboard. In taking the bed apart to send it back I knoticed that the screws holding in that piece are super small. I really wanted to love this bed. It's super cute just not well made.

Adorable Bed
First I want to say this bed is adorable and too cute. My 2 year old daughter loves this bed and so do I. The company has fixed a lot of the problems that people have listed earlier. Such as the paint color being off, the bed is a light pink with lavender accents. The crowns are not screwed into the bed and want fall off. I would say that it would have taken me about 2 hours to put this bed together by myself, but ended up taking about 5 hours. At first the bed was pretty easy to put together and the instructions were easy to follow. Unfortunately one side panel was not cut properly and my husband had to saw the side down so the screw would fit. Other then it being a pain at the end to to put the bed together, I still love it. My daughter can get in and out of this bed easily. It is also big enough for her to grew into as she gets older. I would recommend this toddler bed, but it might be a little frustrating to put together.

Fit for a princess
I purchased this bed for my 3 year old daughter as she transitioned from her crib to a bed. Surprisingly it was a very easy transition. This bed is small and low to the ground so I didn't worry about her falling out. Also, there's a side guard at the top of the bed. Easy to assemble and very sturdy. My daughter has had this bed for over a year now and still loves it. Best for young children, 3-6, after that I'm sure they'll outgrow the size.
