It was a perfect fit

So far so good. Worked right away when I started it up. It’s a brand new cast not refurbished. The only thing that I was irritated on was the fact that the cast was a little wider than my old one and it wouldn’t fit on to the bracket that it locks into. I had to grind it down a bit. I was honestly worried I would mess the fit up and the bolts wouldn’t align but I didn’t. Will see how long it lasts. My last refurbished one only lasted 4 years. If this makes it that long I’ll be happy since my car is at 170k miles. Oh and shipping was so dam fast. Came in 1.5 days.

This alternator works great in my 2000 Chevy Tracker. I went all over town looking for one and looking to have one rebuilt, but nothing beat the price that DB Electric sells them for. Autozone and all those guys wanted $180 plus a $40 core charge. Not DB Electric. They shipped the alternator fast and in great time. It arrived Friday morning and I ordered it on Tuesday night. Now, I'm not a mechanic, but this was even fairly simple to install for a guy like me. The hardest part was getting it attached to the engine or body of the car.. whatever I did. We'll just say I put it where it needed to go. Everything else after that was simple (plugs, serpentine belt, etc.) After everything was put back in place, and had the tubes and plugs reinserted, I went to start my car and it started up after 4 or 5 turns. My battery was flat out dead. Now it starts in 1 turn and is ready to go. I'll keep this post updated with anything that ends up happening. Thanks Amazon and DB Electric! I'm so happy I got my crappy car back! (Whatever works, right?)

It says it fits a 2001 tracker but it does not. The alternator doesn’t fit and the plug isn’t even right either. Working on returning it now. Hopefully this saves others time and aggravation!

It just quit working. Is there warranty?

Good replacement part for a 2001 Chevy Tracker. For years I ignored the electrical flickering from bright to dim (had read that it is a voltage regulator issue within alternator). When the original alternator finally died at 190k miles, put this in and the car is running better than it has in years. Now the vehicle has steady lights, stronger A/C, and window up/down functions more strongly. Should have replaced the part with this years ago!

Picked this based on price and reviews. Not disappointed at all. I did have to grind down one of the bolt inserts that was protruding slightly with a Dremel to make her slide into place.
