Wow! Brilliant brillant service! Delivered next day, so not even 24 hours wait. Well done, Amazon. Packaging was fantastic. Tins taped several times with very strong tape across the lids. Whole tin is encased in extremely strong shrink wrap plastic, very thick - need scissors to cut it. When ordering you have a choice for extra cardboard packaging. I opted for it, just for extra protection, just in case. The cardboard box is well buffered with crushed brown paper. The goods were perfect. The paint itself, and I have literally just used some, is fantastic. I have used Johnstones paint before, but not any garden type products. This was no disappointment. The paint is nice and thick, but easy to apply. Goes on very smoothly. When dry it is true to colour. While I was applying it, I thought it looked very grey, but when it dries that goes. I did presume at the time that some of the discolouration was probably due to the fact that I was painting very ancient fence panels that have gone a dreadful colour. However, the paint stepped up to the plate and what I survey now makes even a pretty awful panel, well knocked about by various gales, attacked by frost, piled up with snow, you name it, not to mention lashing rain, look good. Yeah - the paint is that nice! Very pleasantly surprised. The only thing I can't comment on, obviously, is weathering. I'm not in heavy expectation here, as this is an extremely exposed site, facing west, which itself faces the Atlantic Ocean. That is one sock you in the face ocean! But we'll see. I won't be miffed if it doesn't last - it will have made my dreadful fence look good for the summer and autumn! Final bonus is that the paint washes out of the brush so easily, which is very surprising given it's consistency. Fully recommend.

I purchased Night Shore for my garden fence. The paint went on lovely, though I needed 3 coats but it did the job and the colour is lovely. Knocked off one star as the paint has a foul odour like dog poo

Wow! This is such a beautiful paint. Rich deep colour after only one coat. Dries to a hard wearing sheen, and enhances the woods natural grain. I am very pleased with this product

I was wanting to brighten up my gate, which was really dull from the Sun fading the wood. Ordered it yesterday and it arrived this afternoon and two hours later I have a brand-new gate which looks fabulous. I didn’t realise that it was only a 1 L 10 so I was panicking a little bit because I thought I would probably have to buy another tin however, it was just enough to do the whole gate. It’s a lovely colour and makes such a difference to my entrance.

This paint is brilliant, really good coverage and the colour is perfect for my garden. Used it on a bench, a gazebo and a shed. Needed 2 coats and a little touching up after but it's worth it and although it's a small pot, it goes a long way. Will be buying more when I need to paint more things!
