Great all around bag (my second one)
This is my second Ful laptop backpack in this style I tried to use another popular brand in between, but missed some of the features this one has and the other one just wasn't quite the right size and didn't have the right mix of pockets for my use. This one seems to have enough small and large pockets to fit everything I need somewhere and be able to remember where I put it. I really like the open pocket between the small and large pockets. Oddly, things never fall out of it, but are easy to access when needed. It also has a place for a water bottle, which some bags do not. To pockets have small pockets within the pockets for smaller items. If I were to improve it, I would add a see-though mesh zippered compartment on the inside of the computer storage compartment for small cords, flash drives, adapters, etc. it is also pretty comfortable to wear while hiking or biking, and holds enough stuff to take what I need, but is not so big as to be cumbersome. One other thing it does not have is a strap to connect it to a wheeled suitcase, but I usually have it on my back when traveling. It also has good padding on the back to make it more comfortable (not sure if this is why it doesn't have a suitcase strap) and the zippers are sturdy. The first one lasted 5 years which heavy use and got caught on something which ripped the fabric, and the hole eventually got larger. I still use it as a backup because only one of the pockets has a tear. I am also a tough grader and don't normally give products 5 stars unless they deserve it.

Second time I bought this brand
My last Ful backpack was the highest rated backpack on Amazon 10 years ago. When that thing finally started to look a little ratty, I got this new one.I sometimes have to walk many blocks in the city and sometimes in the rain a half mile or more. I can keep the company laptop in this and there is no chance it will get wet. There are plenty of pockets to hold a waterbottle, earphones, books etc. The rubber bottom protects against puddles. This is what wore out eventually, but it took it about a decade to do that. The new design of this model has a flap that goes over the laptop compartment to give added protection from the rain. The laptop compartment provides insulation; I put some frozen goods in there and they were still frozen three hours later. It helps a laptop retain its room temperature heat as well. What is most amazing about this backpack is the design of the back. It is very comfortable to wear when loaded with 30 lbs. or more. The handle on the top is a terrific feature for carrying like a suitcase.I like this brand a lot and still use my one from 10 years ago when traveling. I highly recommend this as exceptional quality versus the cost.

Big, strong, neat..... and now after 4 months- ripping.
When I first got this bag I was sorta disappointed that it had only one big full size compartment [the next compartment by size is big, but has not width stitched into it]. But I've been using this one for close to a month now and its already been super useful. I changed apartments and I could pack this bag upo with so much stuff without the zippers being all stretched out and about to give. There are so many little pouches that I had no idea what I'd do with initially, but over time they've all got their reason. It looks alright and you can see that its a bigger that average bag, but the one draw back is that it takes a while to get used to on your back. Its comfortable even with heavy loads but coz of its unusual size it feels different than other bags you'd have worn on your back.So now 4 months into using this bag, the left shoulder strap is ripping. The material is tearing, not the stitching. The surprising part is that I'm a right handed and if I ever pick the bag up with the straps, I use the right strap and that has no rip or any signs of giving! Also, I contacted FUL about this problem and haven't been getting very prompt response from them :( Sad, coz I liked this bag and might have to work a little harder to get the warranty validated which decreases my love for the bag..

Ful laptop backpack to replace my old Ful laptop bag...
I bought my first version of this backpack many many years ago. It has been my carry on laptop bag and has traveled more miles with me than I can count. The fabric and stitching on the bag is as tight as it was on the day I bought it, but the bottom of the bag finally gave out from normal wear and tear, so I started looking for a replacement bag. My wife kindly brought home a laptop backpack that she thought would work. Unfortunately, it was poorly built and the straps had little padding (even though it was a well known expensive brand). I knew that I wouldn't be happy with anything less than a Ful bag, and was ecstatic when I found this one on Amazon... and it was a better price than the one my wife brought home. It's not exactly the same design, but pretty close. It's so well designed and has plenty of compartments and pockets that are large enough to use and their placement makes sense to me. I probably should buy a spare for when this one gives out many years down the road. The construction is first rate and I couldn't be more pleased.

Best backpack for trips and everyday use. Soacious and lots of organizing pockets.
I bought this backpack to bring everything I needed on a 5-day convention trip. It's lightweight and very sturdy. It's lightweight enough to carry around all day and the pockets are really nice! The tiny top pocket is perfect for lip balms, Ipods, or small things you need quickly. The innermost pocket is deep and spacious even if you don't use the laptop pocket. The laptop pocket also makes a great magazine or notebook pouch. The straps are sturdy and the waterbottle pouch on the outside keeps most travel mugs and water bottles safe. It won't fit a 32oz Nalgene bottle (they're really thick) but that's about it. When you think you've found all the pockets...you find more! Basically if you're looking for a lightweight but sturdy backpack that can fit everything in an organized way, this is your backpack. And it's green!

Not sturdy- got holes after 8 months
This backpack fell apart - got holes in it around the zippers. It is not durable. We had a similar backpack from this company that had lasted for 10 years, but this one is not the same quality.
