Worked well for my external fuel tank instal
I have been driving around in a 1971 W200 dodge truck with no fuel gage, it gets horrendous fuel mileage and was driving me crazy, I just found a 29gal marine tank and installed it today. The flange fit the tank perfectly, it takes a bit of finagling to get the float in, but the instructions where very clear for installation and the adjustments needed to fit your particular tank. I spent considerable time prepping the tank and where it was located. The gage ( I purchased the Bosch one) will not work with just the sender alone hooked up you have too and should ground the tank ( I ran mine to the frame) Im so stoked to have an accurate level of measurement in the old girl.

replaced my rusted on one boat - works perfect, spot on and instructions gr8
Fitted this to my searay boat and it worked great. Only issue is I couldnt get the arm to be short enough (according to the instructions) as the bolts caught in the slider - I just removed the whole 2nd bracket and used the parts to make it the right length. Works perfectly! I used permatex to seal it - not regular rtv. Cant even smell a bit of gas - very happy and great price!

good but not great
This fuel sending unit read the exact resistance value it was suppose too. the arm moved with ease. the Bosch box does say made in china. i gave it 4 stars, because the clip with the set screw that holds the adjustable float was broken when i received it, the clip had a cold weld to the sender and it broke in shipping. fearing that a return / replacement unit would be no better, i welded it back on properly.

Very confused
Product worked fine for a few weeks, however stopped working. Found out the float arm fell off into tank. Whether it's install error or not, took time to get a replacement part that I would gladly pay for I was told to contact Amazon. Website gives manufacturer info. Soo who knows. Thanks.

This is a great universal sending unit
I have to laugh at those that give universal sending units a bad review. Of course universal means you might have to do some modifications according to the tank. This unit is replacing a sending unit in my 1985 Mack MS250P Mid Liner, with a 75 gallon tank and 1 million miles. It was almost perfect, and after some adjustments, it is perfect. I really don't care about the in between calibration. I wanted to know when it was full and when it was empty. A mechanically fuel injected diesel run out of fuel is a lot of trouble. Mechanical fuel injectors do not pump air worth two cents. Every one knows that. This sending unit is the answer, especially when the part is obsolete. Its perfect. Anyone that cannot modify the install needs to hire it done. There you go. Great product and the price is right. S

Good instructions to match transducer to tank depth.
Once installed it works well. However after adjusting the float rod length and tightening the coupling bracket that is tack welded to the sensing rod the tack weld failed. To finish installation it was necessary to salvage the coupling bracket from the old sensor that didn’t need or use a tack weld. While instructions for adjusting the float rod and transducer bracket are well written, there are no instructions about where to connect the power and ground leads. Not a major delay if one is experienced at replacing tank level sensors. As others have mentioned the five mounting holes on the transducer and bracket are asymmetrical, and only fit one way to line up all the holes. It would help others to have that mentioned in the instructions.

Works with 1965 Volkswagen Bus
Installed this on a 1965 Volkswagen bus. The height was a little too long, even after adjustment but it was easy to cut off the excess length with a grinder. Make sure you bench test the float length before you install it. I found that their suggested measurements were not correct and caused the gauge to not go all the way to full or empty. It's an easy thing to test and adjust. Works great once installed.
