Delicious alternative to refined sugar. I haven’t had ultra-processed sweets nor cane sugar or honey this year and am attempting to limit even natural foods that can spike one’s blood sugar. In my quest to find “dessert” foods, I stumbled upon this coconut butter and, wow, am I blown away. Simple solution to the separation: Melt it with the jar lying horizontally….duh…lol. Then let it FULLY COOL horizontally as well. This way, you don’t have to worry about it separating into an upper/lower half again, it’ll cool in a way that once you turn the jar upright, you’ll have the oil on one side and the flesh on the other. Just be sure the lid is on tightly and put it in a sealed baggie before immersing it to avoid any contact with water. Once it’s like this, you can use a paring knife (careful!) to carve out cubes and then only melt what you need rather than having to melt the whole jar each time and risk degradation.

I love this coconut butter. It tastes very good. The only down side is it needs to be melted every morning or when you need it to use it daily. Otherwise it's a tasty product.

I bought this after having some other style of coconut butter that is spreadable as it comes. I looked on here and was introduced to the more "pure" style of coconut butter that doesn't have anything added for spreadability or taste. I debated this brand and artisana. I chose this one because the other only came in a 2 pack and I wasn't ready for such a monumental commitment. I don't have an issue that it requires warming, stirring, etc... I've done too many years of natural pb to care about this for a product I enjoy. I took a few bites of the product in it's normal hardened state and was won over immediately. I love coconut and I love the mouthfeel of this in it's hardened state. I did also warm some up for a waffle I was having - I drizzled a coconut flour waffle with some coconut peanut butter and some coconut butter drizzled over that. Heaven! I will not be sad to have to work my way through this jar at all. However, based on reading reviews here I will try the artisana brand next, because if it can truly taste even better, I will have found coconut nirvana. In the meantime, I'm quite satisfied with this purchase and coconut butter will be a staple in my pantry. I plan to also use it in place of the normal coconut oil I normally have for baking, too.

Very good quality - but I am going to stick to buying Artisana Coconut Butter. Kevala brand separates the oil on top - very hard at room temperature. All the coconut meat - the protein part of the coconut is in a 2nd layer at the very bottom. In order to stir it all together you have to melt the entire jar - which is a pain in the neck. I put the jar in a huge metal pot - then put it in the middle of my kitchen sink and ran hot water on it. After letting it sit in very hot water for 20 minutes only a few tablespoons of the oil melted. It did not even make a dent in melting the coconut meat on the bottom. it's good quality stuff - but too much hassle to melt the stuff, stir it together to have a spread-able coconut product. I emailed Customer Service and Kevala said once it is melted and I stir it all together - at room temperature it will go back to it's original form within three days. Oh vey! I don't have time to keep melting, stirring and blah-blah-blah every three days. Plus thats a waste of hot water and I live in California and we are on water raitioning due to horrendous drought. Around the same price - Artisana Coconut Butter is fabulous - it is the oil and meat all together and blended into a spreadable mixture which never separates - no additives of any kind - it is 100% coconut butter.

Excellent coconut butter and good price when you buy the 2 lb jug. I've been known to just dip out a spoonful to eat 😋

Buen sabor y deliciosa consistencia. Sabe a coco natural, grasos y rico. Puedes combinarlo con muchas cosas para darle un toque dulce o salado. Yo lo disfruto así solo.
