Works, but ...important...read my review
All in all a good product. I would buy it again. That being said.... It's a bit pricey for the quantity included. It's tape...not precious metal. I used it to repair a couple of tears in the attachment points of my polypropylene portable garage. I cleaned the area well with the alcohol pads supplied. At this point adhesion was not good. It was about 70 degrees F outside. I used a pinpoint lighter to gently heat up the material from behind without burning it and then a bit over the tape and it was like it was welded on! I cannot stress enough that if you do this ...DO NOT scorch the material or the tape! And do not cause what you're working on to go on fire! I do not speak from experience as I did not do any of that, but I can see it possibly being a problem for some people. It just needs some heat to work best...maybe a heat gun used judiciously...or even a blow dryer. Last...The backing on the tape is not easy to remove. To the manufacturer....you need to do something about the value for the money to the end user. You either need to improve on the initial adhesion of the adhesive you're using...or put the whole blow dryer thing in the instructions (or maybe the age of what I received caused that issue?) . Make the backing removal more user friendly in regards to peeling it off. Time will tell on the longevity of this product, but it's holding up so far.

Worked Fine for Tent Mosquito Screen Repair
Though my expectations weren't high for this unfortunate and unsightly sort of tear, this product did a much better job than I anticipated patching a 3 inch rip in the screen of an MSR tent. I cut two patches the exact same size, flattened the repair area over a small piece of plywood on top of a box in order to have a surface upon which pressure could be applied, and had a helper for an extra set of hands secure the material in place while I affixed the patch and then flipped it over and put the same sized patch on the other size. We may have had a bit too much tension on the screen as it puckered a bit under the patch upon completion, but it IS 100% fixed. It's immediately evident that this is a durable material with excellent adhesion that will be a long-term repair in this specific application. Read the enclosed instructions carefully three times, read all the positive reviews here for advice, conscript a helper, and have a plan - you'll do fine. I got an extra box just in case there was an error (based on the negative reviews), but that's now in the big "repair kit" box for future use.

Very sticky, good and bad
EDIT: Now that I was able to get out with the snow suit, it handled multiple days in single and double digit snowmobiling without issue. A lot of movement as well as falling off the sled in powder and the repair is still holding strong with no water intrusion at all. In the extreme cold it did stiffen up but it was still pliable enough that it could bend. Bought this to repair a rip in a snow suit and it is STICKY. Had to use almost half the roll (my own fault) due to how sticky it was and trying to patch both the inner liner and outside material since this is a waterproof snow suit. It will grab ANYTHING, hair, dust, fiber, and itself. If it does end up sticking to itself, just scrap that piece. Once I was able to patch the inside and outside, the use of a heat gun (NOT FLAME, hair dryer will work too) did even more wonder to the adhesive. Get the patch hot enough to conform to the material and use your fingers to push it "further" into the material. The instructions do say "massage heavily" after applying. I have no worry about this keeping the suit dry nor falling apart with how sticky and pliable the patch was.

Ive used this Tear Aid products for years. Excellent product
My previous experience was for vinyl patching of inflatable products. High quality and works as intended. This purchase was for the fabric repair for a porch umbrella that had some tears in it. I ended up buying 3 rolls to do all of the patchings, it goes on easily and after a month has held up very well. my only complaint with the fabric patches is that it is expensive as you only get about an 18" strip per package

Good stuff
They recommend that you cut your patch so it extends 2" on all side of hole to be patched. This will pretty much gobble up all the patch material in the box with one go. The patching material is very heavy and has a lot of adhesive on it. It does work good and should last the lifetime of what ever you apply it to. Be sure and hold a book or a flat piece of wood under what ever you are patching to get a good seal without wrinkles. And do both sides of the material. I used a small pizza/pie crust roller to smooth it out, hence the book and or piece of flat wood.

Economical effective
Economical, effective solution for patching pin holes in a Therm-A-Rest camp mattress. Re-read the instructions Cutting circular shape is important. Strip is 3" wide x 12" length Clean patch area. Begin with clean pair of scissors. Use alcohol to maintain cleanliness throughout procedure if cutting many patches, scissors will gum up. When peeling patch off backing it will stick to tip of your finger. I tried to touch the least amount with fingertip, this went down fine with only minimal trace of area I'd touched. Idea: May leave a small grab tab when cutting circle and as you are applying, snip the portion you touched trim that off final press down, if you think it may be best, I didn't do this. Patch held instantly without heating in 80 F environment. I pressed it down with round wooden smooth end of knife handle, but thumb will do the job on smaller 1" patches for sure! Laid on air mattress after about 30 min. and is is holding fine! Great product so far, it may last years

This clear fabric "tape", will repair tears or holes, in any type of fabric. Rafts, tents, sleeping bags, tire tubes, and on and on. Too much to list. Pictures will tell you more . And it gets stronger with time, like cement does. It comes with 3 different types of patches. 2 1"x1" pathches for small holes, and a long strip for cutting needed sizes. This is cool, it comes with a thick monofiliment line to repair the edges of material. Like if you rip the edge of a tent, you just fold an inch of fabric over this stiff filiment, and then apply the tape over it. That edge will never tear in that spot again. I've never seen that feature in a repair set, and I didn't know I was getting it. No messy glue. Fantastic stuff. And it is clear, and stretchable.
