Antique Two-Color Feather Pen Quill Pen Dip Pen With Envelope Writing Paper Calligraphy Pen and Ink Set(pheasant)

I use ballpoint or rollerball pens almost exclusively for my work, but I love traditional fountain pens. I've never before purchased one *this* old-school. The ornate silver-colored barrel and the feather quill are really something else. The only complaint I have about the pen-- and it's a minor one-- is that the way the nib came inserted was offset and would need to be re-adjusted so that the quill would naturally arc over the hand. Nitpicky, I know, but just be aware that's a requirement if you don't want the feather dangling over into what you are writing. Overall, this is an absolutely beautiful gift set and would be great for journaling, letter writing, theater, or cosplay. It even comes with gold wax on a wick if you wish to stamp your lettered envelopes with a wax seal (although you have to supply the stamp). I am really going to enjoy using it for special occasions.

If your kid likes Harry Potter this is a great gift. We purchased 4 of these for our kids and nieces and they love them (aged 7-13) they are easy to use and they encouraged my youngest to work on writing skills because it was “cool”.

I came well packed. As in the photo. This is nice office decor I have not wrote with it yet. It's great for what I bought it for. Also a good talking piece. I recommend this

Fun gift for that aspiring scribe in your life

I bought this for my son who has a historic law office. It was beautiful on his desk and in the room! It was also nice that she could pick colors of the feathers to go with the room. It also came in a very nice gift box with a different tips. I would recommend this as a great gift!

Fine pen set. However, the decorative metal is super cheap (it's just aesthetic, and still looks nice). The pen holder is noticeably large than the pen, but has no negative effect. Only other downside is because of me, which is that I'm left handed, and because of that, I tend to make a mess. Also, ink stains. (Duh).

My husband loved this gift

For 20$, I did not expect a high quality quill. However, the thing that disappointed me the most was those black spots on the metal, especially in the quill holder (see pics). The package is beautiful, the feather is gorgeous. Contents: - 6 total nibs - 1 quill - 1 quill holder - 1 golden candle - 1 letter opener - 1 black ink bottle - 1 envelope and 1 paper in it. I haven't tried writing in it, as I bought it as a gift. But, I have a similar one, and I know for a fact that the writing experience isn't that great. Nib quality is usually cheap, and the pen is not that comfortable to write with. I knew that, but I bought it mainly for the looks, as a prop. I removed 2 stars because I bought it for its looks and the black spots really bothered me. In summary: It's a fun gift, for a teen or an enthusiast. Wouldn't recommend it for a professional calligrapher. Metal has spots on it. It's not well made but considering it's just $20, you get a lot of items.
