Great temporary solution/stove for camper
Great product. Really impressed. Very quick to heat. Great temperature control. For £40 absolute bargain. Would buy again.

Brilliant little hob.
Fantastic little induction hob! Bought this when my gas hob broke down and needed replacing, just to keep us going short term but have decided to use it regular now. It’s brilliant. Very fast warming up and easy to clean. No messy kitchen anymore. I was constantly cleaning my hob after the numerous times a day it was being used with teenagers at home with different mealtimes! I now use it alongside my main hob on a daily basis.

Larger than it looks - Very Noisy
We have recently has Solar Panels installed and can not use our energy quick enough! We currently have a gas hob so decided to look at changing over to an induction hob to utilise some of the free energy we are now accumulating. Rather than replace the whole gas hob and having the additional expense i decided to trial a signal induction hob plate to see how efficient it was. The hob itself is much larger than it appears in the pictures, it's fairly thick also. The buttons are touch capacitive. The temperature display is easy to read. When in use this thing is super noisy! It has a large fan in the base and it is much nosier than my oven fan! You need induction capable pans to use this device, luckily we already own these. The heat the hob produces is almost instant - boiling things like water for pasta is so much quicker than my gas hob. I also found the glass plate very easy to clean, much easier than my gas hob. The device does has a few negatives which i have listed below; 1) Remains hot after use - so much so i burnt my finer when wiping 2) Very noisy fan 3) Very slippery surface, stirring whilst cooking means you must hold the pan handle or the pan will turn 4) No way to set personalised temperature - pre-sets only, but you can alter the power in present chunks but this makes it difficult to work out as it displays in watts rather than temperature. In summary for the money, just under £50 at the time of writing this review, i do feel it is reasonable value for money. I do really wish you could alter the power more easily rather than being stuck with pre-sets or watts. I hope that you found my review helpful

Ensure you understand how an induction hob works.
I have a 5-ring induction hob and wanted a low power 3-pin plug back-up hob in case of a power cut that can be powered by house batteries (or even a BEV that has V2L). The induction hob works perfectly fine considering it is rated at only 2kW. The power setting adjustments are in quite high steps, the beeps are very loud and the fan is a little noisy but other than that it’s a good single hob. Reading some of the negative views made me carefully think about purchasing this hob. However, it became obvious that one must be very wary of some of these negative 1-star reviews since there is a clear misunderstanding on how an induction hob works. (1) The hob doesn’t heat itself up (a magnetic field causes the pan to heat directly and the eventual hot pan conducts heat back to the hob surface), so no pan = no heat. (2) Placing a non-magnetic pan on it such as a common aluminium pan without a magnetic insert within the base will not work. If a magnet doesn’t adhere to the base of the pan, the pan is not suitable for an induction hob. If one can see error code E0 then it is a user error and not a hob error. A displayed error code E0 is that there is no pan or unsuitable pan on the hob, as clearly stated in the manual. I don’t work for the manufacturer, just exasperated that any ignorance of induction technology could lead to a misinformed purchase decision.

So much better than the older heating methods!
This is my first experience using and owning an induction hob. The main reason I held back was because I didn't think my very expensive cookware would work with induction, and it doesn't. But my frying pans and wok work fine, and I'm blown away at how quickly this induction system heats up the oil in the pan, literally just a few seconds! I will replace my other saucepans one day but am planning to by a pressure cooker to try with it after reading some brilliant reviews. Cooking is a lot easier and faster, plus the hob cools down very quickly (compared to my halogen electric cooker). I bought the Daewoo because it is a brand name I know at a good price. If you want to try out induction cooking then this is a good hob to start with. I do find the frying setting is too hot for my uses but it is simple to just press the minus button until it is at a level I like. It takes a little practice to get used to but I'm so glad I finally took the plunge into induction cooking! Cleaning has been easy, it's a flat smooth top with no corners or areas to trap food. Buttons are touch buttons, so no moving parts to go wrong or get jammed up with food over time. I don't know how it would handle spilt liquid, that hasn't happened to me yet. It has a warning if the pan isn't compatible or if you move the pan too far away. Heating up and down is instant, though your pot may hold on to heat, so bear that in mind. It has a great low setting which I want to try out for slow cooking (maybe replace my slow cooker?).

Hot spot overheating pans and burning food
This is a cheap induction hob. Some would say good value, and I suppose it is if you don’t mind it wrecking your cookware, and are not worried about not being able to cook at low heat without burning food because of the pulsing of induction power - don’t even think about porridge or scrambled eggs. Even thick soup and stews are a struggle. I suppose it might just be our one, but there seems to be a hot spot on the induction plate that overheats things and burns non stick frying pans and takes the enamel coating off the inside of an expensive whistling kettle. We have decided to buy a more expensive model that boasts denser induction coils and smoother power delivery. Let’s hope it works, otherwise we’ll go back to an ordinary hot plate.

Useful, simple and safe.
I use this while camping with me electric car. Simple, flame free, safe cooking. Speedy and efficient and very controllable to get perfect porridge etc. Quite chunky but clearly needs to provide a wider stable platform for your pan. I've found a suitable carry case for this and a pan or two and some utensils. So very portable as a cooking kit that I can power up in any lay bye or car park when out and about. If you've never tried induction and are curious, get one of these before committing to a complete hob, you won't be disappointed. Way more efficient than gas and more controllable, hence why most chefs now use induction.
