Does this have a delay timer. what i mean is, if i use to light a small led on movement, will it power the led for more than a few seconds ? thank u.

There’s no delay timer built in to these and the trigger goes off after about 1 or 2 seconds. You could hook up to an arduino or something that could give you delay control. 555 timer perhaps, but this could be over complicating it :-)

I can’t get this to work. can i plug direct into a fairy light display or do i need another part to make it work? thanks.

the output is not designed to drive any meaningful current so you must put a high power FET on the output lead to drive low voltage fairy lights or connect as per the product page to an Arduino 2 and then use another output pin from the arduino to a relay board and use the relay contacts to switch the fairy lights. The software will be a straight forward loop to test the IR sensor for a high logic 1 input and then switch on the relay [output 1 to that port pin] else switch off the relay [output 0 to that port pin]. hope this helps Andrew

Does this pir switch at the same input voltage? ie 12dc in - 12dc out. thanks

As Soon As I put 12v across one it blew. so I will be running them at 5v and using a transistor on the output to switch a 12v relay
