As an off-roader, I know the importance of reliable communication on the trails. The Midland MXTA24 Low Profile Antenna Cable has been a game-changer for my setup. Its low-profile NMO connector is ideal for tight spaces, allowing me to mount my antenna without clearance issues. The 6-meter RG58U cable is robust and provides excellent signal quality, ensuring clear communication even in remote areas. The removable UHF connector is a standout feature, making installation through grommets and firewalls a breeze. This thoughtful design element saved me time and effort during installation. Don’t buy the cheap alternatives, this cable is just made better and comes with serrated washer and a bushing that the others don’t. The RG174 connection is easily disassembled to allow easy passage through a firewall grommet or other tight space.

Quality cable that returns a very low loss, even for 19'. Both factory ends are perfect, with the ability to snake the cable through tight spots after removing the male fitting.

I'm very pleased with the build quality of this antenna cable assembly. I was able to simply unscrew the antenna coupler from the cable so I could pass the cable through the firewall of my 2023 Ford Bronco, and route it to the radio on the opposite side of the vehicle. Once there, I reattached the antenna coupler and connected it to my 2-way radio mounted under the dash. On the opposite end, I mounted the antenna base to a custom mounting bracket I purchased from another vendor. I unscrewed the gold disc from the threaded center section, passed it through the mounting bracket, and then reinstalled the disc before screwing the antenna onto the base. I purchased a Midland® MXTA25 3DB MicroMobile® Compatible Gain Ghost Antenna | 3.5” Tall with 1.5” Base Diameter | Low Profile GMRS NMO Connection. The final assembly was perfect for my needs. My ONLY complaint is that I had to bundle the unused cable under the dashboard because there was no way to shorten the cable without cutting it and having someone reattach the specialized end. I wish Midland offered a shorter cable. As it turns out, I used only six feet of the nineteen-foot-long cable. The rest is wound up under my dashboard. I'm not too thrilled that it's so close to my passenger airbag but there was nowhere else to hide the unused cable. BUT, if you need a super-long cable, this is for you! It would be perfect for someone running the cable from the rear end of their vehicle.

This badboy is great! It stays tucked close to the mounts and runs smoothly around where it needs to go throughout the truck. Makes my motorola sing. It is easy to install and pass through the firewall once the piece is deconstructed. It goes back together just as easy.

Arrived on time. Nut on end of connector not inserted; but worked well with antenna and radio after tightening nut. Cable length was as advertised.

The new Midland FRMS radio cable is perfect. With removable end for easy threading through a hole in my cab, it was easy to install.
