Item was as described, and performed as desired. I used it as a flange spreader along with some shims i provided to take up the space between the stroke of this jack and the span between the flanges. Made short, struggle-free work of a valve change-out that could have otherwise been a nightmare.

This little ram worked great for the job I bought it for. When my truck got rear-ended, the truck’s built-in hitch got pushed down, mushrooming up inside the truck’s frame where the hitch was attached. The mushroomed point was several inches inside the frame, making it pretty much impossible to flatten the metal back down using normal tools. The little hydraulic cylinder that comes with this porta-power kit fit inside the frame just fine, but the ram's stroke is only about a quarter inch, so it was necessary to stack various pieces of metal in with the cylinder, and work at the mushroomed metal a little bit at a time. Not easy, but doable. The frame is flat again, and the hitch now sits straight. I took a chance when I bought it, as nowhere does it say the size of the hydraulic cylinder that does the work; I was not at all sure that it would fit where I needed to use it. So, if you need to know: the hydraulic ram is the Newtry FPY-5, ~40.5mm high (when collapsed), and 48mm wide. The unit seems to me to be well made, and worked straight out of the (heavy-duty cardboard) box. I’d give it five stars but for the fact that the accompanying written material is virtually unintelligible. There is a troubleshooting chart, for example, but I have no idea what information it might be trying to pass along. The company really should hire an English-language speaker to write their material. I do have to give them credit, though; their English is way better than my Chinese. As I said, the tool worked great for me, and it’s paid for itself even if I never use it again.
