Another Egypt lover! It's always great to share sympathies with those who do our stealing for us. I've owned 60 or more similar books, and the only one that can compare in terms of punching my breath out of me is the huge coffee table tome devoted to the treasures of Tut's tomb, which I could scarcely look at, it is so ravishingly beautiful. All those books I gave to the Doane College Library in Crete, but within the past year I'm back working on my Egypt project again. And so the theft of this book needed to be remedied. Barnes did not have it any more (it was a remaindered book, and when they're gone from a given store they are gone). But never such a rule obtains on The Internet. There/here all the great cascades of time exist in a throbbing perpetual present tense, no matter how remote or vast. And so desertcart "supplies" me/ the slogan being, perhaps, desertcart PROVIDES-- where friends and love and accidents of fate let slip the ties that bind. And so we are united once more, and my faith in the generosity of Infinity reconfirmed.

Beyond a coffer table book
While this beautiful volume can hold its own with any coffee table book, it is one of the most comprehensive single volume picture and text surveys on ancient Egypt out there

Awesome Information
Excellent information provided in this book. It says Encyclopedia but I find myself wanting to read cover to cover. The physical pages of this book is amazingly sturdy and I felt like I got high quality. A+

Great survey of Egyptian art
Very impressed by the breadth of material. There is just too much history of Egypt to show everything, so they do a nice survey of themes and periods.
