This stuff fixed my dishwasher!
I'd been having problems with my 2-year-old dishwasher for weeks, likely related to extremely hard water (problems with softener salt delivery.) It wasn't cleaning well, would only run part of the cycle and then stop, even after the softener salt was restored. I tried running it with a bowl of vinegar several times, with no improvement. I tried running a couple of cycles with a dishwasher cleaning product I'd used before. While the inside of the dishwasher looked cleaner, the problems with stopping after running only part of the cycle continued. I was about to call a repair service when, in a last-ditch attempt, I remembered this product, which I'd seen recommended on a blog a couple of years back, and bought but never used. I added it to a load of dishes and crossed my fingers. The full cycle ran, for the first time in weeks. My dishes came out cleaner than I'd ever seen them. In fact, some old glassware that had developed a hard water film over the years came out almost clear. I've continued to add this to every load, and my dishwasher has continued to run problem-free. My guess is that the product has indeed done as it claims, and cleaned out all the internal parts. After several days using this product, the old cloudy glasses are indistinguishable from new ones. A plus is that I no longer need to add a separate liquid rinse aid, either. Much cheaper to buy this product for $6 or so than to pay hundreds of dollars for a repair bill! I'm using it in every load from now on.

Great if have Hard Water
Started using this product a year ago, maybe longer, because we have really bad Hard Water & dishes were coming out if dishwasher with spots, film residue, & streaks. I don’t have a separate soap dispenser to put this in; as my unit is several years old (uses the dial, & no electronics or display at all, lo).....so half of it just goes in the bottom of machine on the right side as the rest just gets sprinkled/thrown in the bottom of the dishwasher (have a spot in middle on bottom that’s is “like” a holder, w/ 3 “sides” & just put this Booster Powder there). I also After started using this product, I really could tell immediately that there was a difference in how items were coming out if dishwasher.....and it was for the BETTER. Was impressed & even did several tests to see if I was throwing money away. I’m not. I don’t use the “full amount” recommended; as I do a light/china (water miser setting on some machines) setting wash for my items. So, I measure out about a 1/8 cup of “Booster” (1/4 cup if machine FULL, or tad bit more if doing a heavy duty “pots & pans” mode) & start the machine. As with this product, I do use the other products by this a Brand (Finish Rinse Agent & the Finish Powerball Quantum Ultimate lemon scent detergent) in my dishwasher & I gotta tell ya....for me, I can literally SEE the difference when the heated drying cycle is done & start to empty the dishwasher. No more streaks, hard water spots, stains, etc.... AND the dishes/items are all 100% dry; so, no having to use a towel before putting in cupboard, not sure if this adds to that, but, I’m happy...imo Would highly recommend this to anyone with hard water, well water, or an older dishwasher that isn’t getting the stuff “spot or streak free” I side. So, for the price (how I use) & for the results I’m getting w/ using this Booster product...I’m very happy & will continue to keep buying & using. It really does make that “much” of a difference in my life, that I done have to worry about “the little things” like hard water spots/streaks (& that film ya feel at times) on my dishes. So good job, & a 2 thumbs up. Thanks & hope this helps someone out if on the fence of trying or not; cuz I’d say go for it, not like it’s hard to use one bit😉.

Not only restores dishes, but also your dishwasher!
I am not one to write reviews but I had to. My mom is about to have a serious back surgery so I am stepping in to help my mom and dad get through the 6-8month recovery time. They have super hard water which drove me crazy growing up. I went over to help tidy up the house with the upcoming surgery and noticed their dishes have a film on them and their glasses looked cloudy. I researched online what this could be (since they just spent a lot of money on a full kitchen renovation with all brand new appliances including dishwasher). I found this product and for the cheap price figured why not try it? I kid you not the results are instantaneous! The glasses are less cloudy not 100 percent better but definitely can tell they will get there with another wash since their was so much build up. My parents were shocked, silverware is sparkling and even feels different, cutting boards that always were left an ugly yellowish color are sparkling white, and the most amazing transformation was these glasses they bought on a vacation together. They are silver fish scale looking glasses that were beautiful and they use them when making drinks for parties because of how beautiful they are. They lost their shine and weren’t sparkling like they were when they bought them. One wash and they are like looking in a mirror because how shiny they are. My mom almost cried! This review may seem dramatic but if you’ve lived with hard water as long as my parents you know the struggle. They spent a lot on this new dishwasher hoping it would help with the hard water issue and it hasn’t. The hard water was even ruining the new dishwasher. But with this product the inside of the dishwasher is even sparkling again and no longer has that horrible smell hard water leaves after just one time using this. Try it you will be amazed!!!

Works, but WAY too expensive
Do yourself a favor if you live in a hard water area, and get this or it's equivalent. It definitely helps mitigate the hard water marks and build up. But you'd have to put this thing on subscribe and save for like every couple weeks if you want to actually use it regularly. This is a very small bottle, and too expensive for just a small bottle of citric acid. Do yourself a favor and buy a bulk bag of citric acid instead. We do one detergent pack, fill the rest of the main wash chamber with citric acid powder, then fill the prewash with citric acid, and add about 1 additional tbsp to the bottom of the machine. Adjust amounts based on your water hardness. (And always use rinse aid with hard water.)

If You Have Hard Water, You Want To Give This A Try
Excellent product. We live in a city that has the hardest water in our state. Mineral build up for days. It was leaving hard water film on everything but most noticeably on plastics. You could feel the mineral film when you touched it. Read an article with this in list of greatest cleaning items. They were right! Take a pick at the 2 photos I uploaded. The red cup, you can see the build up. That was washed 3 days ago and has not been used. The blue one came out of the dishwasher today and I could feel how much smoother it felt as I was taking it out. If it wasn't for some scratches, I would have swore it was a new cup. The only reason I gave a 4 star on the scent was because I didn't really notice one when it came out other than the same clean smell from the detergent. This is no problem for me as it is meant to help with hard water. If I wanted to change the smell of my dishes, I'd try something else

Seems to work!
So when we moved into my grandparents’ house a couple years ago it came with much of the kitchen utensils/dishes. I had noticed what seemed like a hazy film on a lot of the glasses (3 different sets of different age). I initially tried a vinegar soak/scrub in the sink and this seemed to help a little but didn’t completely remove the haze. I then looked into getting some sort of hard water stain remover to see if that would work. I don’t think we have super hard water because we don’t get the water stains in the sink or toilet but I do think it’s a bit on the harder side and just over time it has built up on the dishes. I started by using a dishwasher tab that was made for hard water. I guess this helped some but then I found this additive and started using a little in every load. I also switched to the Cascade super mega ultra (whatever is their biggest and best one currently) tablets. Eventually I noticed the glasses getting crystal clear! Now, I do have a couple older sets that have not come completely clear. I don’t know if this is because we use them less frequently and they don’t get run through the dishwasher as often or if they are just older and possibly etched somewhat. 🤷 Maybe they’ll continue to clear up over time but if they don’t it’s ok. I will continue to use a shake of these crystals with every load to help remove that old buildup as well as prevent new buildup. I also use jet dry rinse aid if that matters. I did notice that my mom, who lives next door, had some build up on some of her glasses and stuff and recommended she try this in each load. I haven’t checked back with her but I bet her glasses are getting clearer too!

Hard Water? Get This Now!
I’ve tried everything and this actually works! I don’t do “auto-delivery”, but I do now. We can’t live without this. And it is gentle, it does not damage any of my non-stick pots and pans, delicate glassware, mugs etc. Forget the “blue stuff.” If you have hard water, or your dishwasher is older (we have both issues) and your dishes are not sparkling, you really need this! Easy to use and it does have a light clean lemon scent while the dishwasher is running, but there is no leftover scent on dishes, they are just sparkling clean. The instructions say to put it in the open cup, after trying it that way a few times I was semi happy with the results, so I adjusted to fit our extremely hard water. I do put a small amount in the open cup, but I also put about half a Tablespoon or so I don’t measure just pour some in the locking dispenser then put my dish tabs on top of it and close the dispenser ( we use the Finish Max All in One from Costco). Doing it this way, we finally have really clean sparkling dishes, no water spots, no hard water film on my glassware; I no longer feel like I have to hand wash everything to get it clean! If you have an older dishwasher like we do, and you’re trying to get a few more years out of it, also try the Finish Dishwasher Cleaner. We use it every 3-4 months, to help out old - from the 70’s old - the original DW when our house was built old dishwasher keep chugging along.

Beware Of Use With Painted/Applied Glassware and Mugs
I got this product hoping to see if there might be an improvement with regard to us having hard water. But looking at the fine print, there's a warning on the product label saying that this shouldn't be used with painted glassware and mugs. I called the company's consumer line to get clarification, and they confirmed that any sort of glassware or mugs with painted on or applied designs (which is pretty much goes for all of the mugs I use, as well as a few glasses, such as souvenir wine glasses obtained from wineries) will get prematurely rubbed off with use of this Finish product. That's a no-go for me. I was able to obtain a refund upon request (It turned out to be a non-returnable product).
