Fiji Cube Low Profile External Overflow Box (800 GPH)

The fact that it came with the holesaw bit was really impressive. I've had it for a year now, not a single drop has leaked. I did however have a nightmare trying to diy plumbing underneath it, but that may be because I'm a bad diy plumber..

Solid construction, well packaged, great product. I used the hole saw provided and it worked without issue. I will say when working with this type of hole saw it’s important to check that it’s not crooked/wobbly in the drill. The template was easy to use and everything fit very nicely.

The overflow box works well, but I cannot say anything good about fijicubes customer service. While it still functions, the skimmer was damaged when I received it. I didn't wish to return the whole product, so I contacted fijicube for just a replacement skimmer. They demanded pictures, blamed the shipping company first, then all but outright accused me of breaking it and trying to scam them even though it was obviously damaged in machining. Would've gotten 5 stars had they stood behind their product though.

I find fijicube doesn't get enough recognition for what they provide to the reefing hobby. This is another great product, really enjoy the design of the slim profile overflow. Everything is provided for drilling. They provide a high quality drill bit with package which made it a breeze during drilling process. I will continue to do business with this company.

Everything is great! I love the low profile box inside the tank. The plumbing was just right for 1” PVC. The part that was a near miss for me: I use a bean animal to keep it quiet and it works like a charm. It’s virtually silent. But if the outer box was any smaller, and I mean any smaller, I wouldn’t be able to fit the 1” bean animal in it. I had regular PVC 90’s… and they wouldn’t fit! Scary!!! So I went back to the store and bought street L’s. They just BARELY fit… But they DO fit.

I’ve had a very good experience with other products I’ve purchased from Fiji. Now the disappointing part is that as I’m taking the protective golf off the inner box I see a huge crack. Thankfully this piece goes into the tank but it’s unsettling because of the price of the item. I’ll give one start and if customer service ever replies and helps me out I’ll give you all an update **UPDATE** So I contacted Fiji and they were amazing and helped out immediately. I just received the new piece and I’m great shape. Amazing and fast customer service so all I can say is thank you very much.

Was simple to set up and drill my 120 gallon tank with the included drill bit. If you have a rimmed tank don't forget to buy a couple extra gaskets for the space between the tank and overflow box. I set mine up as bean animal and it is almost completely silent.

The build quality of the actual overflow and components is top notch. However, do not use the included glass hole saw. Against my better judgment I used the one that came with the kit. It is very much a bottom of the bin hole saw. Mid cut on second hole the shaft bent and sent a crack running between both holes. $1500 aquarium in the trash. Really kicking myself because I had a lot nicer of a hole saw in the garage. If this was my first time drilling glass I would be extremely upset that such a low quality hole saw was included. I’m sure I’m one of the few that this has happened to with this kit, however, save yourself the heartache and get a better holesaw or you will be stuck with a nice overflow box that you can no longer use. Buying another aquarium is not in the budget
