This is a fantastic upgrade for what was my traditional zippo lighter. This butane insert fits into any standard zippo case, and fits perfectly as you'd expect. It is well made and looks fantastically shiny. Filling the insert is super easy, and is low maintenance. I love my classic zippo, but it is quite a high maintenance lighter with the original lighter fluid insert - having to replace flint, cotton, and constantly refill was a hassle. The butane lighter only needs occasional top ups of butane. Butane also keeps a lot better than lighter fluid (in a zippo). It won't evaporate or dry out, and has been far more reliable. The butane lighter insert also provides a stronger, hotter, and more windproof flame. Whilst it's not as aesthetical or classic as the original insert, its a far more practical upgrade in my opinion.

So far so good, had slight issue at first, same as a lot of other people have stated, but turned out to be the flame regulating screw was too low/tight. Once I moved it to increase flame size there was a steady flame. Before that it wouldn't stay lit. I had turned it down to minimum as initially when I lit it the flame was far too big but the lowest setting wasn't allowing enough gas for it to stay alight.

At the price. Half it usually costs. It’s a great buy. Fit perfectly in even the oldest zippos I have and no need for constant refills and the smell plus much safer in my opinion. Lights first time, every time and even better windproof than the regular inserts. Like a mini blow torch. Very durable construction and doesn’t waste on fuel as you can just the flame size and lasts much longer than the original inserts.

Excellent, how did I not know about these before, the elegance of an Zippo with the ease of a gas lighter. Remember to top up with gas and so much less messy than the lighter fluid!

Had this lighter insert for 2 days. 1st day it worked perfect always lights first time. 2nd day as you can see from the video it doesn't light. On the rare time it decides to light it will only stay lit for 2 seconds maximum. The lighter is full of gas, I've tried with the flame control on max and down to low and nothing. Tried to contact zippo and not received a reply so I'll be returning this. UPDATE: Zippo got back to me and said because I've bought it from amazon and not direct through them they won't honor the warranty and I need to contact amazon to rectify. Completely unlawful as the consumer rights act 2015 states the manufacturers warranty comes first. Basically their slogan of "It works or we fix it for free" doesn't mean jack if you bought it through amazon, pathetic considering the insert wasn't even 48 hours in my control before it stopped working. Product will be getting returned and I won't be getting any more zippo products. The fluid version with the wick leaks, and this product doesn't even work. UPDATE: Now changed to 1 star. Zippo claim they don't need to provide a warranty on products not purchased directly through them. Complete horse crap.

I decided to switch the insert in my old Zippo lighter for this new butane one, and it’s been an amazing upgrade! The difference in performance is night and day. The butane insert ignites instantly and gives a strong, steady flame every time, which is a huge improvement over the traditional lighter fluid. I no longer have to constantly refill it, and the butane fuel lasts much longer than I expected. The flame is perfect for lighting cigars, candles, or anything else, and it’s great for outdoor use as well. Plus, it fits perfectly in my classic Zippo casing, so it’s the same familiar feel but with a much more modern and functional twist. I’m so glad I made the switch—if you’re looking to give your Zippo a new life, this butane insert is definitely the way to go! It’s a game-changer and makes my Zippo lighter even more practical and convenient. Highly recommend!

What's not to love? People have come up to me in beer gardens in the past and asked for a light, and you watch them cringe as they get a big mouthful of naptha, which always makes me feel really guilty; plus I keep my Zippo on top of my leather cigarette case (no, I'm not a poser - demand for cigarette cases increased by almost 2,000% once they started putting the diseased organ pics on packets) and I realised over time that it was turning a two inch section black through leakage, so when I saw this I thought it was the 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿, but I was a tad sceptical as I'd had one of the original Zippo Blu lighters which only worked on the third Thursday in Pentecost or something; would this be equally intransigent? Nope, it's completely 𝗮𝘄𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲, fits snugly (just like the fuel insert) in any Zippo, including the Armor series and 𝑠𝑜 𝑓𝑎𝑟 it's lit first time, every time, so I'd recommend it to anyone who loves the coolness of the brand, but hates the faff and black-fingered filling.

Acquistato per "convertire" uno Zippo e poterlo usare con la pipa. Ottimo, fa il suo lavoro egregiamente e non lascia il caratteristico odore di cherosene. Si adatta senza problemi a qualsiasi Zippo e ne mantiene inalterata l'estetica.
