The 12 pack of these watercolor brush pens has been more than enough for me to get through a sketchbook art class. I don’t use them for coloring pages, so can’t say how they do with that, but on heavy watercolor paper they work well and spread nicely with water. The set doesn't come with a waterbrush, so I use a normal paintbrush and water. Thin paper will not give this watercolor result. I like the dual tips and the tight lids. The brush tip is firm, not soft. I think it would be easy to damage the brush tips by jamming the lids back on carelessly as there’s a lip inside the lid. The colors are vivid. I’m not convinced they are lightfast, but my particular work will be inside folders and sketchbooks. I would have liked an orange instead of two pinks, but all the pens seem to work well and I’m enjoying the control and confidence they give me over traditional watercolor painting. I’m curious how these compare to more expensive artist grade pens, but for now I’m very happy with these.

These are excellent for writing, Im using to make labels and writing very small and these tips are getting the job done neatly…great value too
