Great switch, designed for home theater, but OK for KVM-type application
I needed a KVM setup for HDMI 4K@60Hz, and those are crazy expensive. It was to replace my VGA KVM setup, which has been working very well, but which can't even come close to driving my 4K HDMI monitor at full resolution. I finally decided to keep using the VGA KVM switch for keyboard and mouse, and get this to switch the HDMI. I'm super satisfied with this HDMI switch. It works perfectly, hasn't given me any trouble. Picture and connection quality, even at 4K@60Hz, is perfect and rock solid. It's doing exactly what I need. There are a couple things to be aware of, though. 1) Apparently, the monitor and computer don't see the switch as an HDMI endpoint; it's more of a transparent pass-through device. So when you switch inputs away from a computer, to that computer it looks like you unplugged the monitor. It will do whatever it normally does when you unplug a monitor: switch to another display, go to sleep, rearrange desktop icons, resize windows, etc. If your computer remembers each unique monitor configuration, then when you switch back to that input, it will put things back how they were. 2) The switch automatically activates an input whenever that input gets plugged in or turned on. So if your MacBook is applying updates and you're trying to use a different system while that happens, be aware that every time the MacBook reboots or does something that powers up the HDMI output, this switch will yank you away and switch to that input. These are probably both great features for when this switch is used in a home theater setup. But they aren't so fantastic when using it as part of a KVM switch setup. But I also cannot justify calling them flaws; they are just good design features that are optimized for a different use case. And for 4k@60Hz HDMI switching, at this price point instead of $100, or $200, or $1,500 (all with equally crappy reviews), this thing is a brilliant bargain.

Works exactly as advertised!
This handy and affordable little 4-in 1-out HMDI switch is well worth your money. I only have 3 HDMI ports on my 4K TV but I own 4 video game systems and a 4K bluray player. I have my game all running through this HDMI switch and there is no lag at all nor is there any degradation in picture quality. It also allows HDR10 and Dolby Vision to pass through as well. It comes with a USB cable to power the unit as well as an adaptor for the cable should you need to instead plug it into an electrical outlet. I literally only had to plug in my four video game systems into the switch, run a HDMI out to my TV as well as plugging the USB cable into my TV to power the HDMI switch. While it does come with a small remote, the device instead automatically changes the input to whichever device you power on at that point. For an extremely affordable price, this HDMI switch is well worth purchasing for anyone who needs to expand the amount of HDMI inputs available for their devices.

Great HDMI switch, some minor drawbacks
This 4in/1out HDMI switch works just fine. Easy to plug in everything on the back side, nice brushed metal finish, and the remote works well. Picture quality is great, which is the main highlight of this type of device. The cost is great compared to other switches on the market. I don’t have any HDR or 4K inputs (yet), so I can’t comment on how well that works. Regular HD content seems great. I have two small complaints though: 1) the time it takes to switch between inputs. When I switch from one input to the next, it can take 7-11 seconds from the time I hit the button to when the new picture shows up on the screen. It’s not terrible, and I don’t switch inputs that often, but I wish this was faster (like 3 seconds or less). 2) I can’t seem to get the auto switching feature to work. I’ve tried a few things, but nothing seems to make the switcher automatically change from input 1 to input 2 or 3. I have an Apple TV (4th Gen), DirectTV DVR, and a PS4. I’ll keep trying, but the automatic switching feature was one of the main things I was looking forward to, that way I could get rid of one remote in the house. ***UPDATE*** After a couple more weeks of use, the auto input switching feature does work, but not all the time. It seems to work well when turning on something that was fully powered off. It only sometimes works to auto switch to an accessory that was in “sleep mode” or “standby mode” and is turned on.
