Get it!! Loved by active and lazy elderly cats alike!
I have a very VERY active young cat (was a kitten when I got this, still a ball of energy now) that absolutely loves to get into anything and everything. I also have a sweet elderly cat that isn't interested in most toys (would rather bat at something once and call it a day). Both of them love this treat maze! I've had this for roughly two years now and it still remains a favorite for both of them!! I only use it for putting treats in and not having it out all the time to keep it more special. They both seem equally engaged with it, it isn't too hard to fit paws in for my elder cat with arthritis, and it holds up to the chunky young adult (12ish pounds) that likes to play aggressively with his toys. He can drag it halfway across the room and the top doesn't come off. In fact, usually it stays mostly in place, it will move a little bit especially when they're both working on the same side, but unless he's going all out it'll stay in the general area I put it. If it was just my elder cat, I'm sure it would stay where I put it down. I have also accidentally kicked it a couple times and absolutely nothing happens to it. The quality of it is great. I love that I can customize the inside maze part and I think they enjoy having it change from time to time for a new challenge. It isn't super hard for them, but also not too easy and boring. Usually they'll get the easy treats out first in just a couple minutes, and then they'll be working at the hard to get to spots for a while. It will entertain them for at least 15 minutes, sometimes up to a half hour. Literally my only downside to this is on occasion a treat gets stuck and wedged under one of the maze walls. It's not that big of a deal, easy to dig out with a hand, but the cats are not able to get a wedged treat out no matter how long they work at it. (But hey, if you want your cat to stay busy for a long while just wedge a treat haha) It cleans easy. All the maze walls can be taken out and the base is a hard plastic with the green part being a thick rubber sort of material. Some soap and water and it's all clean, no spots for treats to get lost in and attract unwanted pests. I would recommend for any cat, active or not (this is one of the few toys that my elder cat wants to play with), and as long as they like treats they'll like this. It does a wonderful job at being an interactive toy for them.

Cats love ‘figuring it out’
Best cat toy!! It took a day or two for my cat to figure out how to get the treats out, and now it’s her favorite way to get a treat. I drop a few treats in the top part and she spends about 10- 15 minutes, figuring out how to get each piece out. We play with this at least 2-3 times every day.

Perfect for calm cat, slight modification makes it great for crazy kitties
This puzzle is really great! One of my cats is super high energy and no matter how much I play with him he's still got enough left in him to open all my cabinets, the dishwasher, chew through bags of flour, etc. Since he's also EXTREMELY food motivated puzzle toys have been wonderful, and this is the first one that he is forced to slow down with a little and can't easily get all the treats out in under five minutes. Really the best pace I've found for any puzzle toy if you have a very active and very food motivated cat, slow enough that they can play with it for at least 20min but they can get some treats out easily so giving up isn't too big of a deal (for my cats anyway). one star is deducted because the plastic top doesn't clip on securely, so it was super easy for both of my cats to lift the top off when they would get just slightly rough with it. This was easy to get around with a little duct tape, but it seems like an obvious flaw even if it's slightly minor. There are a couple of other very small problems that definitely aren't due to the product but with the personality of my cat, but I'm sure I'm not alone on having a cat that likes to cause problems. 1. if the cat can tip this over they can get food out easily. My cat has been less prone to tip this over than other puzzle toys since it's kinda tall, but it definitely still happens sometimes. This isn't product flaw though, I think it's unavoidable in this kind of design. 2. if your cat is really prone to biting through things they might shatter the plastic. The actual shattering hasn't happened yet (and might not) but I attached a photo showing some teeth marks. As with any toy you should watch your cat when they play with it, and I haven't had issues stopping my cat from biting down but the size of some of the holes do lend themselves to this. Admittedly, my cat is so much more into biting than any other cat I've ever met (obviously any food, but also any toy full of stuffing, anyone's hands, the plastic litter box tub, the furniture, the other cat, etc) so I don't think this would be a problem for most cats but just fyi

Perfect distraction for food thieves
EDIT: I wanted to come back and leave some more info on this review. We’ve had this puzzle for years now and it has held up amazingly. It’s very durable. It’s still by far the best cat food puzzle I’ve ever purchased and we use it almost daily. I recommend it regularly to all my friends and coworkers who have cats. My two kittens are absolute food fiends. we’ve tried multiple food puzzles but many of them were unsuited for young cats, and the kittens injured themselves by using their muzzles to get the kibble out rather than their paws. The large plastic shell on this puzzle makes it impossible for them to access food by any route other than using their paws, which is just what I wanted. And the adjustable layout is great for young cats because you can start out easy and then ramp the difficulty up. The only downside was that the plastic shell doesn’t clip on very securely, but as you can see in the photo I was able to thread some zip ties through the bottom part and around the shell to keep it firmly attached. I have to cut off the zip ties every time I want to wash it or change the layout, but other than that it works great. Now we can eat our food in peace without our cats trying to steal bites from our plates!

I bought this puzzle feeder for my curious indoor cat, and it’s been a total hit! The different sections keep her mentally stimulated and busy, especially the little catnip ball area—she goes straight for it every time. I love that it slows down her eating and gives her a challenge at the same time. The design is smart, sturdy, and easy to clean. If you’re looking for a fun way to keep your cat entertained and mentally active, this is a must-have!

My cats adore this because... well... TREATS! They will spend hours making sure they got every last piece out.

both my cat and dog so nuts for this. there are two gates you can add/remove to change difficulty, though i've literally never touched them, and the top comes off for easy cleaning. keeps them well engaged. this is also offered in a circular design

Keeps my cat entertained! I started with only a few pieces of the puzzle in, but now he navigates through the full thing with ease! I think this actually helped my cat gain better dexterity in his paws lol

My cats love this feeder puzzle! It's never boring since you can move the pieces around and increases/decrease the difficulty. It keeps them busy for much longer and it tires them out cause they have to really work for their food / treat. My biggest problem with this puzzle feeder however, is the base of the tray is some kind of silicone material. As my cats paw and reach for their food, they scratch the base of it and it ends up making huge claw marks and shredded green silicone all throughout it. As that makes it a great place for bacteria to live and grow, it really isn't ideal. I wash it everyday before they use it, but it's still not safe long term.
