While I did not purchase this from Amazon, my son acquired it while attending a coding camp this summer. I've never seen anything like it. I was thoroughly impressed with how easy it was for my nine year old to pick up on the basics of coding using Scratch. In one week he was programming small rovers, making music, creating games and more, with just this one starter pack. We've been trying desperately to find something that would make a transition into coding, while encouraging him to stick with STEM focused activities. This is it. We will definitely find ways to add components and programs to this kit. If you're trying to get your child interested in coding, STEM or just science in general, this is a fun way to do it!

All the instructions are not updated to use makecode but everything else works, no problems.

Great kit for teaching kids programming and how to make electronic connections. My 8 years old daughter loves it and makes interesting projects using the kit. There are plenty of resources and tutorials on the internet.

This is a great piece of kit. You'll need to buy the Micro Bit separately for around £17. This kit comes with a nicely detailed book. The book takes you through 10 experiments, each one getting harder than the next. It shows how to wire up the breadboard and program the Micro Bit via the web, it also shows you the circuit diagram. My 12 year old loved it and already completed the first experiment in about 10 mins.
