Milwaukee Electric Tool GIDDS2-2475506 Step Drill Bit, 3/16" to 7/8"

Added a soft starter to my outdoor AC unit and it was too big to fit inside the unit. Needed to punch a hole in the metal to run the wiring from the outside to the inside to connect to the contactor and capacitor. I was dreading cutting a hole in the side that would allow water to get into the unit or worse off slide around while drilling and damage the coil or the wiring inside the unit. This Milwaukee stepped bit was extremely sharp and cut through like butter in the exact spot I wanted it I was able to easily stop drilling at the precise time so that the strain relief fitting would fit very snug and not allow for water to get inside the unit. I would not have been able to do it without this bit. Now that I own one of these bits I feel more confident on taking on projects around the house knowing that it is very sharp and easy to control to the exact hole sized needed.

Cuts through metal likes it's nothing. It has a good weight to it and the cutting edge is very good. It goes through 3/8 thick metal with a pilot hole no problem. Ive gotten several uses out of it and can't see any wear on the cutting edge yet.

This is awesome used one time on drilling a tailgate, can hardly tell it was used so much better than that harbor brand

This step up bit is a life saver. I’ve used it to drill through tough materials such as metal and wood. Fits into a regular brushless drill.

Not sure what the manufacturer was thinking but you can’t read the step sizes even with magnifier. Fortunately the most common 4 sizes have white band identifiers. The price was great so 4 stars.
