Comfortable, Wide-Friendly Hiking Boots with Great Grip
These boots look and feel like a quality product right out of the box. I purchased the 10 Wide for my 4.4-inch wide foot, and the fit was excellent following the sizing guidelines. I used them on a 3day hiking trip in Hot Springs, Arkansas, covering about 15 miles through varying terrain and elevation, and they performed really well. Break-in was quick; I only wore them around the house for a day beforehand and I had no issues with blisters or hot spots. What I Like • Very comfortable, especially for wide feet • Great grip for hiking across different terrains • Quick break-in period with no discomfort • Look and feel like a quality boot Things to Consider • Not fully waterproof. fine for rain and wet conditions, but not ideal for deeper water crossings Who This Is Best For • Great for hikers looking for a comfortable, wide-friendly boot at a more affordable price • Ideal for day hikes or multi-day trips where full waterproofing isn’t required

Great boots, great price and great support and comfort.
These are very comfortable boots. I bought and returned my first 9 regular and got 9 wide. The wide is perfect for my big foot. The toe box of the wide is very comfy, there is room to move but not sloppy by any means!!! The speed laces are something I look for in all my boots. The speed (top hook laces) are really good quality and not sharp at all, I have had speed laces on other boots actually cut the laces. I will break these in, wear them at work and beat them up on hikes. There is great ankle support and well padded in the ankle as well. The price can't be beat either!!! I have a pronated step and expensive Merells kill my ankles and knees, these do not.

Boots That Get the Job Done
I’ve been wearing the NORTIV 8 Men’s Ankle High Waterproof Hiking Boots for almost a year, and they’ve held up well considering how hard I am on them. I work 12–16 hour days and walk a lot, both indoors and outside, and these boots have stayed warm, waterproof, and comfortable the whole time. They’re lightweight and fit true to size, which made long days much easier. One thing to know: if you have sweaty feet, these can build up odor fast unless you dry them out regularly. I learned that a bit too late. They also sent me the wrong color, but I honestly didn’t care once I saw them—the style looked fine and worked for what I needed. Overall, they’re solid boots for the price and great for long hours on your feet. Next time, I’ll probably look for something with better breathability, but these definitely got the job done.

Good boot good price
If only owned them a few weeks, but I'll echo what other reviews have said - Very comfortable nice boot. I have wide feet and the wide width fits me fine.

Most comfortable hiking and walking boots I've owned in years!
I am absolutely in love with these boots! I wear a size 15 wide shoe and it's very difficult for me to find well fitting footwear, but these Nortiv 8 boots fit me perfectly and are the most comfortable I've worn in decades! I decided to go with the synthetic uppers rather than the suede based on a recommendation by Amazon's AI, 'Rufus' who explained that suede doesn't hold up as well and isn't as waterproof as the synthetic. Plus they look just great! In the first three weeks after I received them I put them to the test on many all day hikes into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains where they held up perfectly in all types of terrain, including swampy muddy areas, rocky sharp aggregate, smooth slippery limestone, volcanic mudflow, and loose gravel. I've hiked in downpouring rain, fog, even some snow and my feet never got wet. They are truly waterproof. My feet tend to be cold by nature but these boots paired with thick socks kept my feet warm! I really like the lacing system on these boots. The laces don't bind, they're easy to loosen and tighten, adjusting the boot's fit depending on the thickness of the socks you're wearing or other factors. They even come with an extra pair of laces which can really come in handy. The tread on these boots is rugged and hold up really well to the abuse I put them through on my many hikes. Even after clocking over 200 miles on these boots the treads still look nearly new. I was so impressed with the fit, the style, and performance of these boots that I ordered a second pair right away. I plan to use one pair for my rugged back hills hiking and the second pair for walking, day hikes, and other more casual occasions.

Follow up review.
Purchased a second pair after approximately 18 months of wear on my first pair. Overall I feel they're a good value. First pair held up well to lots of abuse and are still in use. I just wanted a second pair that looked nice. The only change I noted is they reduced one level of lace hooks at the boot tops. There's 2 levels now rather than 3. It takes a little more effort to expand the laces to put them on. Otherwise I find them comfortable with good support. They look good, are reasonably priced and appear to be well made.

Copies of a name brand cheaper materials.
Not a bit of leather anywhere. Very similar to the Merrill just by looks alone. Good stitching. Good glue up. I could do without the "waterproofing" One has too wonder what that means. They seem to have a good sturdy platform. Fit is good for a 12. They came with extra laces. Interesting that the soles look as if they had been turned upside down and something is laid across them and then spray painted black, leaving three light color stripes on the soles. I doubt they will last very long ad I do lots of yard work. I will spend the extra next time. These are made in China.

Excellent boots!
Excellent! I am 5’”11 @206lbs ,with a neutral foot type that prefers a bit of stability. These are perfect for my use in desert southwest and alpine terrain (USA) from sand to rock whether valley, flat, or pitched these have been excellent. I pack about 20-25 lbs most hikes and these are the perfect blend of support and comfort and they have just enough flex in the sole to keep your foot from cramping like Vibram sole boots can sometimes do. That’s important to me because on banked rock surfaces where it occasionally can get loose, I need that grippy agility to make it. These are huge value for the money in my POU/ use case scanario.
