Tons of functionality and a price that is almost to good to be true.
Super nice ceiling mounting bracket kit for digital projector! This is made of nice sturdy metal and aluminum extruded materials with a nice white powdercoat finish. There is hardware and everything needed to install this and mount the projector. There is a ton of adjustability with the way that this bracket has been made. The bracket can also be extended for additional height adjustment. I used this in a brew house for a video presentation and mounted on some bracketing in the ceiling. I was able to tilt, rotate and adjust the projector in every possible way. The mounting brackets that attach to the projector are versatile as well and will adapt to any configuration you throw at it! Sturdy and well thought design. Two thumbs way up!

Good projector mount
The quality is good, easy to assemble and looks good compared to similar products. The price is reasonable. Good overall value.

Sturdy, sleek, affordable mount that does exactly what you need
I bought this mount for my Optoma HD141x; it looks and works great! Assembly was easy, and the included wall anchors did the trick since I don't have a ceiling stud at the mounting location. Unfortunately one of the screw holes was stripped, so the set screw wouldn't tighten fully. But most set screws install in pairs so the mount is nevertheless sturdy and I was able to easily align the projected image to my screen. I guess my only complaint (if I had to make one) is that, after installing, I realized that the mount is a little too tall for my setup. I know it's my bad for incorrectly measuring, and the minimum length of the extension rod is clearly advertised, so I'm definitely not docking my rating for this. But it would be nice if they included the basic topmost joint from the VP01 model in this kit, so that I could opt to not use the extension rod at all. The attached pictures show how the mounting feet attached to my projector. Since the HD141x has 3 mount holes, one of the mount's feet should be removed. The other 3 attach according to the pics, in order to center the base plate over the projector's "do not throw away" picture of a trash can. (you'll know what I mean if you have this projector) The mounting feet fit PERFECTLY onto the projector's mount holes.

Good for custom length install
This mount is cheap and does what it is supposed to. The armature has enough room to hide power, HDMI, and trigger wires with a little to spare. The mount is white just like most ceilings (why black mounts and projectors on a white ceiling? Silly.). This is ideal for my particular installation. Nobody makes a mount designed to clear a standard ceiling-mount ceiling fan. There are long down rods and tight surface-mount brackets , but no mid-length mounts. This mount is made of thin aluminum and is easy to hacksaw through to create a custom length. Measure twice and thoroughly think through the geometry first. To accomplish this you will need: Tape measure Hacksaw Masking tape to protect the finish Motor tool or file to finish cutout for wires Sandpaper to clean up edges Drill and bit to redrill holes in down rod There are countless odd custom installation needs that this could be the answer to. Plus it’s cheap enough that if you muck it up there’s no need to cry. I do not like the way the projector bracket mounts to the down rod. It’s awkward and damned near impossible. Perhaps it would work better if the bracket/down rod assembly were connected first and then slid into the female section of the down rod. You’d still have to fight the wires but at least there would only be one screw to contend with. The second big ding in the score is the lack of fine adjustment in the mount. Using the mount to correct projector/screen alignment is preferable to using lots of keystone correction. Most mounts have provisions for tilting the projector front/back and left/right through screws or thumbscrews. This one relies on manhandling. I even had to shim the top of the mount to get it to hold level. If I were still installing projectors for pay I’d definitely keep one or two of these on hand for odd installations. It would not be difficult for the manufacturer to modify this design to intentionally be cut to size. That sure would be handy and, I’d assume, probably sell well.

Great Quality and Ease of Use for the Price
I've had projectors for the last 12 years or so. This mount has about all the customizations you could want as well as feeling good quality at the same time. Here are some issues that arose in the past using other projector mounts, that aren't issues on this projector mount: 1. Difficulty centering projector with the attachments (weight needs to be evenly distributed so that the projector mount is at the center of mass of the projector; this mount makes it VERY easy to center as well as spin the piece that actually connects to the main shalf of the mount). 2. Cords being messy / visible (this mount allows power and other cords to flow down the hollow core) 3. Difficulty installing projector after all mounts are connected. (this mount allows you to pre-bolt and then effectively just slide in the projector so that it holds all the weight as you make any finishing touches on angles / level). 4. You can increase the length of the shaft (isn't possible on all mounts). 5. You can install the mount flat on a ceiling, angled on a visible stud in the ceiling, or even side mount. I'd be concerned with side mounted projectors, but the bolts over all are long and thick enough that I believe it could hold the weight. Here are some issues you may run into using this projector mount: 1. The bolts are very thick and could result in splitting or breaking wood studs if you are in a newer house. 2. The layout of the mount for the bolts will be difficult to get more than 2 bolts in on a standard 1.5" stud (2x4) on a ceiling, I can see it requiring cutting into the ceiling and adding supports to actually hang it perfectly. 2 bolts may be enough to hold the weight just from the ceiling.

Great product!
This product works well. It’s durable and holds an average sized projector. (The package says weight limit of 30 lbs.) We used it with the Epson 3800. Initially, I thought it would not work, but I ended up googling the mount and learned that we could connect three of the legs instead of four, one in the front center hole and two angled at the back holes. It was easy to mount and is very flexible for tilting to adjust your projector.

Good for the price, not ideal for edgeless screens
This is an Ok mount. If you are on a very tight budget, and you are not particularly fussy, you'll likely be pleased. If you are going with an edgeless screen and need particularly tight tolerances, you'll find this mount frustrating at best. I do have a 110 edgeless design screen. I have an Epson 2040. The unfortunate design issue with the otherwise fantastic 2040 is the lack of horizontal or verticals lense shift. I off set the horizontal lense shift by building my screen with a sliding cleat. I can shift the screen to the left or right,up to 6 inches. This mount offsets the vertical lense shift with sliding drop. The problem is that it is nearly impossible to get everything dialed in perfectly with an edgeless screen. If you have a screen with at least a 2 inch border, you will likely think this mount is great. With edgeless any light out of square or off at all, shows up as either a dark border on the screen,or extra light on the wall behind. When you watch wide screen movies on a 16:9 screen you won't notice. Because of the black bars. Because the problems typically are in the corners. But with a 16:9 movie on a 16:9 screen you'll notice it on any scene that is bright. I paid full price for this mount. For the price I paid it is ok. But it's not perfect so don't expect it to be. Again the price should be an indicator. You have 4 Adjustments to get your picture squared to your screen. Every time you make one adjustment you effect the other three. If you crank some adjustments down super tight, you will strip the threads. I have noticed over the last few days my picture is wandering ever so slightly on my screen. I will likely keep this mount until I find a bargain deal on a fully adjustable peerless mount. This mount will work at holding a projector to the ceiling. It will relatively aim your picture at your screen. Just expect to have your picture and screen mismatch by minimum of 3/8's of an inch. Notice at the bottom left of my screen in the football photo (movie is replacements) there is a Little extra picture on the wall. It is far more noticeable in a fully dark room. I had hoped biased lighting would help, and it does a little, but my projector is far brighter than my biased lighting.

I'd purchase again
Great product. It was installed on my patio underneath my gazebo. I think it'll work great for my need. Very sturdy and heavy.
