Does not produce espresso

While this pod is simple to load and clean, it doesn't achieve a seal with the machine and produces a slightly brown water with minimal coffee in it. I've tried it with various grinds, tried adding more/less coffee than the instructions suggest, tried tamping harder/softer, all to no avail.
