Comprehensive Medical Terminology 5th Edition

This is a great book. It was used. It was in ok condition.I am ok with the this purchase. it was worth the price.

Thank you to the seller for your honesty, prompt shipping and affordable prices. My book did have some shelf wear obviously but the quality of the pages were clean and complete. My heart and wallet are totally happy with this purchase.

this is a really good i have to have the book in front of me for each class i take and i am taking this class an online class with the excite same book and it helps instead of me reading it online i have the book in front of me so i can read it in person and not on line i like turning the pages so finding a book online for the exact class that i am taking works for me amazon has every book for every class i am taking and this is one of the books.

This is a very, very comprehensive book (total pages - 1,222) on medical terminology. (It even weighs a lot ... useful if you want to build up your arm muscles.) Effectively, it's a textbook on anatomy and physiology as well because it is made up of lengthy chapters on different body systems that go into technical detail on the anatomy and physiology of each system, as well as all the terms and terminology components (roots, prefixes, suffixes) involved with each area. There is much more here than any one person could ever learn; we really should consider this as a reference work. There are also pages and pages of extensive exercises, and different forms of exercises, to practice learning and understanding and becoming familiar with the terminology. This is, however, the one place where the book lets me down: there are NO answers to these exercises in the book! They tell you to "ask your instructor" for the answers to these hundreds of exercises. What if you're studying on the weekend? And what if you're not in a class but using the book on your own (my situation)? This is really a disappointment. I also bought another book -- Medical Terminology, a Short Course by Davi-Ellen Chabner. This excellent little book contains all the answers to the exercises right there. Much more considerate and helpful. I assume her (Chabner's) bigger, more comprehensive book also contains the answers to the exercises and would have chosen her book if I had known about the limitation of this Jones book. Still, if you don't care about feedback on the exercises, this is a very thorough, comprehensive, informative book ... a lot of work went into this.

The description said it was in a good used condition and that is exactly what it was! I am very satisfied with this book as I only need it for one part of my Billing and Coding class but am super grateful to have found it used and not had to purchase it new when my course came with an online version of the book, I personally don't like online books for learning as in like to read along with my course over reading then going back. Thank you!

I am a retired NP and taking a medical coding course. Excellent review of anatomy and I am learning new info that not have been available in my pathophysiology courses in my nursing programs

The book was advertised as, "Condition: Used - Acceptable - Normal wear and tear from moderate use. May not include supplements." However, the first thing I had to do when I received the book was to tape the cover back on. Then I put a book cover around the heavy flimsy book. I actually reinforced the stability of the book with cardboard inside of the booksox. Once the book was stablized and usable, I took a closer look inside. Every crossword had been completed in ink, along with every Chapter Review. Don't even get me started on the amount of highlighing. Whoever had the book before me should have bought the book if they wanted to act like it was only for thier benifit.
