CSX4900-S 4-Button 2-Way, 3000' Remote Start System w/Drone X1LTE

This is my first Compustar remote starter that I've installed. Previously I've stuck with Crimestopper products for many cars, but I really wanted to give Drone a try. Having a slot built in for the Blade AL is SUPER nice. It makes installing a bit faster and MUCH cleaner than having another bulky box to mount under the dash. Range is really good on the remote, plus the feedback to let you know when the vehicle has locked/unlocked/started is great. The wiring diagram in the instructions was straightforward and to the point. But the instructions on changing features and settings could use an update to make more clear. Though, if you do enough reading and are technically inclined, it's not too difficult to figure out. Side note: You do need to purchase the OP-500 programmer to change certain features/settings. In my case I installed this on my diesel truck and needed to set a delayed start for the glow plugs after a "key on". This feature can only be changed with the OP-500. A bit annoying, but honestly that little programmer makes changing features a breeze, plus now I have it for future installs. My only other negative is the thermistor it comes with to know how warm/cold it is in the vehicle is super, super short. Which means it has to live up inside the dash with the unit itself so you don't get an accurate temperature read out on Drone, it always thinks it's warmer than it actually is. Drone was super easy to figure out and set up. It is extremely convenient. Drone itself makes this unit worth the money. Never have to worry about locking keys in the truck again! If you're mechanically inclined and good with electrical, this unit is pretty easy to figure out. This kit will be my go to unit for future car starter installs, I'll probably end up upgrading a couple of my old crimestopper installs with this guy for all the added features/convenience. To sum it all up: Great car starter for the money. Awesome features, Drone is sweet, works just like it should. Definitely will buy again.

Great product, you definitely need to be mechanically inclined (people complain about that and that’s their judgement of task). Everything worked perfect

very high quality product. do not attempt to install if you have never done a R/S. will require a bypass if your car is 97 and above,some cars don't need it most do. range is amazing. drone will gps track your car also tell you the speed,great for a business with a delivery van. subscription required. ive installed dozens of these compustars all have been 100 tech support has also been super helpful the few times that i have called.

Must be installed by an authorized installer. Called the number to get the wiring diagram and was told it is only available to authorized installers. Completely useless and a waste of time. Buyer Beware

Excelente sistema de arranque remoto, es el primer equipo que instalo, tengo conocimientos muy básicos y realmente es muy sencillo el procedimiento, el sistema no trae ningún diagrama ni instrucciones pero lo puedes encontrarlos sin problema en la web, lo eh instalado en un kia sportage 2015 y en un Hiunday accent 2016, funciona de maravilla, el sistema Dron es muy bueno, el alcance del control es excelente! Muy recomendado, si quieres hacer la instalación tú mismo estoy seguro que lo lograrás.

Worked great on my old 96 Chevy truck. Love the drone feature. The remote start itself was time consuming to install. But the Drone feature was a plug and play to the module and easy to register. Had to hook up a set of relays because it don’t have a positive door lock trigger. It has to ground relays for lock and unlock. Wanted to change some of the features in the module. Just basic stuff. Like when I start it with the remote I want the doors to lock, also wanted the horn to chirp with a command and a couple other things. Spent a few hour trying to do it with the remote without success. Had to purchase the OP-500. That made it a breeze and is simple to use.

The system works very well, I've always been a firm believer in compustar and/or viper systems. They just work the best. I had some difficulty with my install, had to do with factory alarm wiring. Then after it was all said and done the drone didn't work. I was told by the technical support at firsttech that the X1 drone is for USA only and I need an X1R for Canada. However, the drone system started working a couple hours after I made the call to tech support. The drone app is great, as long as you have cell reception you can start or monitor your vehicle. Shows interior temperature, battery voltage etc etc you can easily modify remote start run time, turbo timers, and more. So as long as the drone continues to work in Canada for me. I'll keep this at. 5 star, otherwise they should really consider telling people which drone is for Canada and which is for USA, maybe even have an option to buy the X1R or the X1.

I am very satisfied with the key fob remote start,lock,unlock and trunk release but I'm not getting access to the drone app to my car,although the connection is there from wifi or my phone's data it's still telling me not responding check connection,it worked for the first day when I got it installed and afterwards it was a flopp,I messaged customer support and they sent me an email on how to regain access,tried it but no success

If you want to buy this in Canada and use the cell phone drone app then DO NOT buy this product. Serial numbers do not work and are not compatible since this item comes from USA. I wasted money hoping for the command start app. The fob will work just fine but you can not start from your phone

The system is packed with features and customizable for any custom project car. The drone feature is super cool but it is a little pricey for the subscription, was easy to install. Programming is tricky without the programmer accessory

Hi, after buying this .drown doesn't work it's only work usa. and also one missing part bypass I bought extra spend more than 100$
