I got this product for my back and for me, it works better than any of the other topical treatments (that includes lidocaine, Diclofenac, Aspercreme and Blue Emu). However.......I just tried it on my knee and it burns like crazy! Like an unbearable sunburn. And it does not wash off. When I use this product in my back, I get some heat, but not real bad. This product will last all day once applied and even seems to reconstitute during workouts or when sweating. Highly recommended for back, but not so much for knees. Also, if you don't want the heat sensation on your hands, use medical gloves for applying.

Just bought due to severe nerve pain in my middle finger from an accidental amputation almost two years ago. Plus my finger can’t stay warm for some reason, so hopefully it helps. I’m trying the 0.025 dose. I’ve had surgery to remove or sever the nerve so the “pad” of the nub is numb, but the top fries. Also, to the people saying they couldn’t get it off, don’t use soap and water. Try whole milk on a wash cloth or the affected area itself. I accidentally tried a 1% a few months back and was fire red until I could get milk. It neutralizes it whereas water makes it more angry. I hope someone reads this and it helps

Seems to work great on my knees. It doesn't warm the knees exactly, but it keeps the cold and ache away. I learned NOT to put it on the inside of the knee. If I do, when I sleep on my side and my knees touch each other, they get extremely warm on the inside of the knee. Other than that, this .025% works great on my knees, using it only once or twice a week.

Update: After writing this review and giving it two stars, I stopped using it completely due to the burning, and easy transfer of the cream from one's hands to eyes, mouth, towels, even after washing with soap and water. Absolutely not worth it. I am using BioFreeze now, and will never go back to the mess. I have chronic nerve damage in my legs from running injuries. I bought this cream to help relieve the nightly numbness and tingling in my feet. This product was a package of three tubes of cream, with the active ingredient being Capsaicin- the stuff that makes chile pods hot. Being from New Mexico, we eat, sleep and breathe green chile, so my first time using this, I slathered this cream on my affected areas liberally like I would applying lotion after a shower. After a few minutes, the burning sensation was so hot it almost brought me to my knees, and it subsided to something manageable after I laid on my bed for 30 minutes. I absolutely cannot believe how awful this felt for the first few minutes- my only equivalent was when I moved back after being out of the state for a decade and failed to wear gloves while peeling green chile. My hands throbbed for days. The package does say that the burning will ease with reapplication, and I was daring enough to apply this again - the burning was much less the second time around. The package also says that individual reactions will vary - mine just happened to be severe. The lesson here -no kidding, your first time using this, apply a small test patch and wait a few minutes before applying any additional cream. Be sure not to rub it over any cuts- absolute burning hot misery will ensue. Wash your hands with soap and water immediately after-do it at least twice. This stuff stays on your hands and will punish you if you rub your eyes, nose etc. How does it work? Well, I’ve been burning so badly that I don’t even notice the numbness in my feet. Not sure the trade off is worth it.

This is very effective for my shoulder and back pain. Previously I had a 1% tube but it was too strong. This tube is .025% which is quarter strength and comfortably strong enough.

I love love this stuff!! My condition is I have 3 herniated disks which causes pain down my left leg and makes work unbearable. I have tried icy hot, a sports cream, cbd lotion with cbd oil, biofreeze and they worked for a few mins at most. I was hesitant about this stuff and didn't try it for a day, then figured why not. My first application, it felt like an eraser just took the pain and discomfort away instantly! I didn't have the burning sensation for a couple days. It lasted all night, relaxed my muscles and eased up the discomfort. Used it at work and was surprised it lasted all through work and I was able to twist and bend in ways I wasn't able to previously. I love the burning sensation, as it lasts a few mins, goes away, and when I get active, it heats up again relieving the area. A good washing of the hands gets rid of the excess, as the box advises you to do. Very well priced, no scent, non oily/greasy. All in all, I give 5 stars and highly recommend to my fellow chronic pain people, as long as you don't have sensitive skin or are allergic to peppers.

I am so happy with this product! It delivers INTENSE heat!! I usually use a product from an MLM that costs over $20 per tube. This product is just as effective, maybe more so, for a much more reasonable price. This is much hotter than similar products so if you aren’t used to it, start with a small amount and rub it in very very well. It will start working quickly and give you effective pain relief. Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after applying and consider using a cloth or soap with some grit in it to get the product completely off of your hands. Again, I love this product!!

Plus on en applique régulièrement (4 fois par jour), plus la partie endolorie du corps se désensibilise à la douleur! Cet effet est dû en partie à la propriété de la capsaïcine! ATTENTION: Évitez de respirez directement au dessus de l'application de la crème! Cette préparation dégage des vapeurs irritantes pour les voies respiratoires qui peut faire tousser ou incommoder temporairement. Aussi, n'oubliez pas de bien laver vos mains après l'application car se frotter les yeux ou mettre ses doigts dans la bouche pourrait être désagéable!!!
