I imagined it a little taller and wider. It is easily assembled very sturdy. The finish/varnish(?) Is very good. I am using outside the bathroom but I am sure it would work well in a shower room. Not sure if it would be ok actually in a shower.

Funnily enough the unit is in the bedroom as a small compact table that fits between the wall and the full-size bedside table. It was really hard to get a specific size table but searching Amazon came up with this one. The finish is good, the size is perfect and it was so easy to put together. They even gave me one extra of each of the bolts and nuts. Far better than that Swedish company where you find you’re invariably a nut or bolt short and have to go back to the shop. I may not be using it in the shower, regardless of that it’s a great sized item that will do you well wherever you decide to place it in your house.

Got this bamboo stool for our bathroom and thought it would be easy enough to assemble as it came with pretty basic, straight forward instructions & it is all put together using an allen key (provided) HOWEVER I found one of the pre-drilled holes didn’t quite line up which meant no matter how much I tried & tried the screw/bolt would not actually screw! Much frustration (& swearing) later & I ended up having to leave that one, screw all the other legs on first & then go back to the troublesome one doing as best I could to force it to screw in - there were some crunching/not very pleasant noises going on but eventually I got it screwed in enough for it to be stable. It’s a great stool now assembled but that wee hiccup meant what should have taken about 10mins to do took me much longer.

Shocking, very poor quality holes drilled incorrectly and splits in the wood and painted over and indentations in the wood. And its not bamboo as stated in the product description. Very disappointing. And to top it off amazon is not allowing me to upload the pictures I took of the damage. Feel like I have been robbed.

Bought 2 of these and love them. So impressed with the quality of build and finish. Easily screwed together and my package came with extra screws etc so I have backups if ever needed.

Assembly made complicated as holes for some screws were inaccurate. Finished result thanks to patient husband fine.

I have two of these and I absolutely love them. I have one in our bathroom, and I sit on it to put lotion on my feet, etc., but it could also be used as a shelf. I have another one inside our pantry, and our noisy ice maker sits on top--that way if someone drops ice or water, there are no concerns because the shelf is water-resistant. Great, sturdy product for the price. Highly recommend.

I have a lot of experience with budget furniture that you put together yourself and it's not unusual for products to be poorly made or hard to put together - sometimes you even have to drill new holes for the screws. Much to my surprise I was really impressed with the quality of this bench - it's sturdy, the finish is very nice and the only issue I ran into with assembling two benches was one of the holes was a little shallow. The benches also came with something that is a real luxury in this business - a couple of extra pieces of hardware in case you lose one. I'm not using it in the shower so I can't comment on what happens when it gets wet, but it works great as a foot rest/end table if you add a cushion to the top.
